Kawa Korner 3: JTAG units, tripod head *PRICE DROPS*
« on: Thu, 19 December 2013, 02:14:14 »
1) Manfrotto 056 3-axis rotation locknut tripod head for light DSLR and mirrorless cameras. http://www.manfrotto.us/3d-junior-camera-head
my camera with macro offset torsion is just far too heavy for this tiny cute little tripod head. but, it's perfect for careful positioning of smaller camera (mine weighs 10lbs.. yes, i do not know what i was thinking).
35 shipped CONUS

2) atmel AVR/ARM JTAGICE3, jtag and programming unit for all atmel MCUs 70$ 65$ 60 shipped CONUS. used a bit, nothing crazy, indistinguishable from new. http://www.atmel.com/tools/jtagice3.aspx
this is the new generation of jtag/programmer units from atmel that support their ARM-based devices as well as all varieties of AVR units.

3) segger jlink EDU. universal JTAG unit for ARM MCUs with educational license. never used. better item description here: http://www.adafruit.com/products/1369
asking 50$ 45$ 40 shipped CONUS

i have too many jtag units, and not enough time to write code for the MCU samples i have lying around. the ice3 is _extremely_ nice for AVR debugging, but i can survive on a much slower bus blaster for a while. my next large MCU project is actually going to be power based (freescale MCP556 series) and the dev kit for those costs very large amounts of money (hardware + software).

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

1) intel 3770K + prolimatech genesis + 2x nzxt 140mm PWM fans + Asus P8Z77-V Deluxe, shipped as a full assembly with reinforcement around the heatsink. no ram. 390 380 370 360 shipped CONUS. used pretty gently for about 6 months.

selling because i went hex-core.
pending
1) Nikon Nikkor 50mm F1.8 AF-D. 8/10, box and papers included. This is a good portrait lens and much cheaper but 90% as good alternative to the 50/1.8 AF-S for a D200 or D300(s) and D7(1)00, D90, or D70 and a much cheaper and as a normal on a D600, D610 or above. Also great for old film autofocus nikon bodies. stick an F100 on and you have the standard kit for a photojournalist in 1990. Asking 65 shipped CONUS.

2) 1hp tankless craftsman single articulating piston oiled compressor. Unknown CFM up to 125psi. I pulled this off a tanked kit, took it apart and put it back together again _without_ leakage in the compressor body. Was rated for 1/2 duty (10 minutes on 10 minutes off) out of the box, now filled with a mix of krytox VPF and full synthetic Pennzoil Ultra 5w40 (i had a bottle open already *shrug*). it seems to be happy puttering away at no load forever, which is more than i can say about my large wobble 2-piston unit. 30$ picked up in LA. note that it is air cooled with a completely exposed turbine prop. even if any compressor could be thought of as child or pet friendly, this one is _particularly_ unfriendly to both. Comes tankless with quick disconnects for 110v power and the standard sears intake air filter at 1/2" NPT in and out. Probably capable of pulling a medium vacuum, but a vacuum particulate filter would be essential. will only ship with empty sump.

3) 1.7hp twin turbine pulled from datavac mdv-2. brushes and turbine are fine, but i did some major damage to the armature trying to pull high vacuum with it. armature follows the turbines in this motor, so the turbines are still good and by some miracle, the metal fragments did nothing but score up the stamped housing a little. housing is 6" diameter. put it in a tube or in a box to clean stuff: air, pets, computers, whatever. is also plug and play upgrade for any metro vac (datavac, etc.) product. they all use the same diameter turbine. and are basically the same height. 45$ shipped CONUS. looks like this: https://www.metrovacworld.com/MVC_157L_17HP_Twin_Fan_MotorMVC_157L. you can only see the damage to the armature if you pull it out, and doesn't really seem to affect the motor much actually -- i must have fixed something when i pulled it apart to figure out why it was heating up so quickly. i think krytox was involved in the repair.

4) mystery tool box. has at least: socket and ratchet set, partial ifixit miniature exotic screwdriver bit, handle and extension set. ratchets are 1/ea of 1/4" drive, 3/8" drive and 1/2" drive craftsman standard ratchet, full-ish metric 3/8" socket set, full-ish metric 1/2" socket set. mishmash of craftsman china, US and sears companion. box is growing as i go through old tools and toss stuff in that i don't use or obviously could use replacement. contents of boix are steadily increasing as i go through and replace things in my toolboxes or toss stuff i don't use in. price is pay what you can + ship but let me know what you need to wrench on, since the box may not help you at all. it is, after all, just a box with crap in it.

5) lead-acid 12v AGM battery by east penn. model Deka EXT15l (sometimes labeled as ETX15l). starts most 4 cylinder low displacements engines but has a very low capacity and high internal resistance as LA-AGM batteries are wont to do. deep cycled exactly once. asking 40 picked up in LA. too much of a pain to ship; still has to be doc'd even though it's a glass mat :\

6) 1/2" drive Craftsman 2-150ftlb torque wrench. 50 shipped, 40 picked up. light usage. lifetime calibrations at sears. comes with 1/2" drive metric socket set from grab bag for 10$ more.

8) craftsman basic air powered torque wrench and air powered 3/8" ratchet. never used. 40$ shipped CONUS. add 10 to get the 3/8" sockets from the grab bag and another 10 for the 1/2" drive sockets. all metric.

2 and 3 are limited time offers. if unclaimed, will be augmenting them with heat and hotboxes to donate to halfway house as bedbug killers.

4 will reach critical mass at some point and be sent to someone who refuses to buy their own tools *COUGH*

hoping it's the all-black. it's a few mm shorter, same optics. later batches moved to a chrome ring to make it look more upscale. the E series lenses were not technically marketed under the nikkor name due largely to their use of polymers; at the time, the general consumer sentiment was that plastic = cheap crap. in fact, it was a populist experiment by nikon to substitute polymer parts into low-tolerance assemblies with solid, simple optical formulas and construction. the result was superlative performance per dollar, and if it weren't for general advances in lens coating, the E series lenses could easily give their modern cousins a serious challenge. as it is, they're mostly confined to the studio and in situations where contrast-lowering flare-types of aberration (chromatic aberration is fairly low due to the simplicity of the lens formulas) produce desirable aesthetics.

in fact, my longest telephoto is and will be a 75-150/3.5 E for the foreseeable future. i think the serial puts it as manufactured in 76-ish? the 75-150 in particular was made quite famous by fashion photographers of the late 70s. the bokeh is harsh and it tends towards bad flare with nasty off-center lighting. however, like most telephotos it is extremely sharp in the center of frame and the large constant aperture and small size made it perfect for roving urban shoots that are now de facto but used to be very avant garde.

2 is no longer limited time. I can't figure out how to kill bed bugs with a compressor. 3 is very likely going to be attached to a heater and become a bedbug killer.

I will take the lens. I don't have a 50 for my Nikon yet.

I would say to ship it with my panavice, but that seems like a bad idea. :P
