Seems like there are some potential candidates here who probably have wads of spare cash to throw at on some cheap HHKB and defending these "reviewer-less" sellers instead of wanting to save money up for a real one instead.
In either case, regardless if the deal is real or not. I like to see how long does those keyboards actually last. Cheap prices may also mean sweatshop like conditions with either poor or no quality control on the said product. It wouldn't surprise me to see fake but cheap HHKB gets thrown out because they either don't work well or the legends/key cap colouring wears off like as if the key caps were dipped in some tub of liquid paper and the legends are all bits of sticky paper.
What is certain here is that it only cheapens the brand of HHKB and it is up to the company (PFU) to decide on what to do with these fake but cheap HHKB should they ever exist in a more material form. I have seen tons of cloned products over time, but it never ceases to amaze me the amount of people willing to pour money into these uncertain areas - most of them only to realise if they weren't scammed but found the quality was poor. Regardless, it will be a learning curve for people anyway.
Good luck with bidding, good luck with not being scammed and good luck on seeing how long will that product last for only to realise that you could have saved money for the real deal. This goes with virtually any products, it doesn't have to be HHKB or any particular keyboard/electronic/item in question. I am just some old fashioned buyer whom would actually either see the product being materialised and/or the product is coming from a more reputable place. Internet-orders are full of blackholes and unknown when you don't and can't see what is actually going on.
Edit: Next thing you'll know is that the seller realises the prices were too low, raises it up to almost the same price for the real HHKB making it harder for one to ascertain if they are going to get the real HHKB or a fake one, worse yet get scammed. Meanwhile the seller dashes off madly with the profits made from their little demeanor purposes whilst paypal desperately tries to tighten up laws to make other sellers harder to run away with the said funds and give these "unfortunate" buyers a scrowl looking face for constantly falling on cheap but fake goods (behind closed doors).
