YGPM!

Filco Zero keyboards were supplied with two types of clicky Alps mount switch: ivory Xiang Min KSB-C switches followed by Alps SKBM White switches. The SKBM White version sold in the US was reported to suffer from transposition errors; it was since discontinued from sale in both the UK and the US.

You should really cite your sources instead of just copying and pasting the DT Wiki entry as your own post.

California.  I edited the post and my profile to specify that.

Weren't the Filco Zero's from KeyCo all XM White?

They were incorrectly listed as XMs.  They are indeed Fukkas.  Compare a photo of my board with the following two reference photos (from Elitekeyboards):

I've edited the first post now, but for those interested in the Zero I need to reiterate that it suffers from the infamous Filco ping.  It sounds exactly like it does in this video.  For one possible resolution, see redpill's post here.

Is item #5 the same sets that were sold here? -> http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=38927.0

Also is the HHKB dusty, dirty or anything? Since you don't have the box? And I know you said its new, but do the keys have any shine?

Blank Red Topre set gone.

@spamray: yes it's the same, but blank.  For the HHKB, small amounts of dust which I will clean.  No dirt or grime or shine or anything else.

The non-Ducky boxed set?  Do you mean OEM vs Cherry?  I don't know the profile.  If you know of a way to measure or tell, I'll do it and report back.

Whoever got the Zero got a smoking deal.  Very rare - probably worth $250-$300.

I think CPTBadass finally got it.

That doesn't make it worth 300. There is a reason they are discontinued. They aren't that great. And I believe cpt (if he got it) is switching out the fukkas to something else. So basically all he wanted was the tkl layout without shelling out for a king saver.

demik why does it say banned under your username?  I'm in the OC.

The Siig Mechanical at Microcenter has Fukkas and has a superior feel IMO.  Perhaps the case/backplate?  Also, I think the ping issue makes the board unusable without a fix.

@daerid, homing keys = the home row?  Anyhow I don't want to break up the set.  It makes it difficult to sell.

@pexon, I'll try and get back to you on that.

Nah, was more interested in just the F and J from both sets. The DCS keys that you can get for the ErgoDox from Massdrop don't have any keys with homing nubs. Makes it a bit difficult to find the home row without looking.

@ekw808, as others have pointed out, the logo is present on the HHKB but the angle and lighting make it difficult to see in the photo.

@swill, the Minitouch is mechnical.  The old Geekhack wiki page stated the Minitouch was Simplified Type II Alps, or what is referred to as XMs.  Yes you can simply attach a PS/2 to USB adapter.

Yes, they are simplified Alps.  The old GH wiki stated they were Type II, which are known as XMs.  They are white, clicky, and tactile.  The next part is subjective, but I find them preferable to Cherry MX Blues due to its more tactile feel.  I've only typed on XMs and Fukkas, and it is difficult to compare due to different housings (Minitouch vs Filco Zero).

Personally, as far as clicky switches are concerned my favorite is the Siig JK-US0112-S1.  I believe it uses Fukkas.  It even has the L-shaped Enter key!
