Titanfall was much better than I expected.

Geekhackers that got into the Titanfall beta, want to play together for some laughs?

I also love how you can't limit your download speed for this program.

Not that I'm complaining, but I have no idea how Origin can achieve these download speeds.

So how do you guys like this game so far?

Titanfall makes me think CoD + mechs + parkour. I like it, but can't run it on my piece of junk HD 7770.

Why the hell is the download so fast?

(Context; my download speed has never, NEVER been more than 1MBs, usually its more like 500kb/s, but it just went mental

Also if anyone is using Nvidia, upgrade to beta drivers. They're working better for me, drops a load of screen shake.

I was a bit surprised that this was running on the source engine.

This doesn't look a typical source game.

Considering the amount of browning, this game isn't well optimized yet. Hopefully drivers will fix that

Apparently Titanfall only wants to use one of the cores on my GTX590, it sends it up to about 100C just on the menus, so no Titanfall for me until I can find some way to fix that.

Did do the training bit before I checked temps though(poor gpu), game seems fun enough. Will most likely pick it up when it's released as long as the gpu thing gets resolved.

Really fun game, I seem to be pretty good at it I guess. All around less stressful and more fun than cod, coming from me who got every cod game on launch and was really good at them(~3kd overall with messing around and usual kd of 10-20+ when I tried

).The only reason I play cod anymore is for prop hunt on COD4.

Hopefully it doesn't get boring fast, I just want GTA5 to come to PC already..

The only bad part to this game after my 7 hours of play time seems to be that it is really hard to tell AI from pilots except for when they are doing wall running or anything like that. So I get used to killing the terrible AI people and then get demolished the second I run into a real person, not knowing they aren't AI.

The titan aspect of this game really reminds me of those mech simulators in arcades. I also remember in both this game and the arcade you lacked the ability to jump or otherwise move vertically.

Yes that would be really good, such as choosing were the grunts drop and what objectives they go for

leveling in the beta is probably way faster than it will be in the final release. often betas give an accelerated leveling system to give players a feel for the progression.

i see a lot of room for tactical strategy with close knit teams like you might see in a MOBA in titanfall. this game has the potential to be a fantastic esport.

i have max leveled my beta profile in titanfall and i am loving it. this is going to be a day one purchase for me. i dont see myself getting bored anytime soon. i find this much more fun and engaging than bf4.

Just tried last titan standing last night, it is great, a bit slow at times but really fun. I wonder if they will let you use more than just the atlas body for the game mode when the full game is released, I guess they would but I wonder how that will change how the game mode plays.

hum decisions, decisions... should i download titanfall beta or download hawken (since they're both mech fps games and hawken is F2P and i own it in steam, i should go with it.)... I'm asking because I have a crappy inet connection (4mb dl/ 1mb up) and it takes a while to download both !

Hawken is fun, although it can get boring fast since there aren't many rewards for leveling up. Most of the players are terrible and teamwork is key.

Still fun though.

Yeah, release is solid, only issue is that it still doesn't support SLi.

However, it doesn't have very high reqs so disabling one card until SLi support is added shouldn't be a problem, only ones who should be wary are those with multi-gpu cards.
