Always wanting to try something else.
After more than 9000 posts on an internet forum in the course of a year, it doesn't seem that way, no offence.
Quite the contrary, actually, when you consider the wide variety of keyboards Ray has tried in his year at GH...
Well off the top of my head in no particular order.
So far I've tried every stock cherry MX keyboard switch in a keyboard and Cherry ML, I'd guess at least 20 variations (or more) of cherry keyboards/keypads, both topre 45g and 55g in about half a dozen topre boards with various mods, buckling spring both model m and unicomp boards and both matias alps switches and whatever alps came on my dell at101w. There have been a few other random oddball switch keyboards in the mix to but I didn't really use those for much of anything. All sorts of key caps, different profiles, legend printing method and material. I've got dozens of keychains and keypullers and don't get me started on novelty caps. And the fancy mr. interface switch try bag.
But I'm still finding new things to try just got my GHPads and I've got an ISO board I need to build and I haven't even really used the multitudes of springs, o-rings, landing pads etc I've got for cherry mx switches.
I also just started soldering and have different tips I need to try along with a few different kinds/thicknesses of solder and I didn't even get out the flux yet or the safety glasses or gloves or chem wipes or the desk lamp with fancy light bulb and the crappy helping hands thing or the chinese soldapullt, or the multimeter and I've got 3 lube kits unopened.
I've got teensies, breakout boards, breadboards, leds, and random other electronic parts and some keypad plates that I thought about hardwiring.
And I've got half a dozen orders coming from china I'm going to try building a few non related keyboard things.
So while it may not seem like it I am always trying something new, it just takes a while sometimes.
