MX Standard / 24K Gold plated  -  Design & Made by SPRiT  (All in Stock)

I follow the Cherry Original specs and GeekHack Standard,  Not the narrow range of old local Korean ones.
This is the First large scale Systematic production in the world.
Research into the History of Cherry original springs, filling the missing gaps, and added the Modern users' needs.
This wide scale Never happened in Korea either, only 3-4 kinds of weights available currently.

There have been reports on my springs  :  cloud soft, smoother, comfy, elastic, cushiony bottom out, much less squeaking...  Well, I am not happy yet.
To the members' requests, I have been trying to apply better materials, minimize tolerances and variations, working close with the specialized factories.
As more steps and electrochemical processes involved,  chances are there for some physical changes.
Yes, I do All the Inspections and Quality Controls for myself on every step, if there is a defective one, its due to my eyes get bad.
Sure, I have added several private Tweaks to be the true custom.  And it's Gold plated at a Jewelry workshop for the better result.

Gold vs Non Gold?   I don't have any belief in Gold, but in the Quality.
Ever touched my springs?   Ever compared mine to others?
It's the matter of Fundamental Design and Production Quality.

Badly Designed without Philosophy,  and Badly plated springs will result in a horrible experience, as We seen in Gateron and others.
For the Latest version, I have applied Extra Fine Tuning and Reinforced Surface Smoothness  -  Need No lube!  or very minimal !

Still new here. Is there any benefit to gold plated springs or do they just look cool?

You'd need to buy boxes to ship them.  Since people will be buying all kinds of order sizes, it likely won't be much more economical to buy a slew of random sized boxes and packing material (tape, peanuts/bubblewrap/foam) than it would to use the Flat Rate boxes.  In the long run, it's just easier to go the Flat Rate route since all the needed boxes can be dropped at home.

Some claim they add a difference to the feel.  I just think they're blingy.

These springs look delicious.  Is that a healthy way to look at tiny coiled metal bits?   I spend too much time here...

Okay, reasoning behind why I choose flat rate over first class.

1. Boxes are free
2. Shipping is faster
3. Shipping has tracking
4. Invoicing MUCH MUCH easier. Sprit is going to be charging the flat rate for shipping so all I have to do is get the boxes and ship them out. Otherwise I would need to invoice for shipping.

ETC

Price wouldn't be more than a dollar or so less if I chose first class in the first place.

Sorry if this is a bit confusing, I am plaing titanfall and it is 12 at night, I will elaborate later if you need to, but I think I am clear enough :P

Alright. I might grab a bag for $11. I've been meaning to try something heavier then a blue anyway.

So people in USA use this order form. Then they will be sent to you, and you will mail them out to the people that ordered.    Correct?

You might want to consider using a <textarea> for address input. A single line text field is not usable to format peoples addresses properly.

I'd be willing to proxy for Canada, but we don't have flat rates.  :( Expedited parcel shipping these springs would range from $7-11 CAD, depending on region.

And we don't get free boxes :(

Sprit,  I don't know if you can answer this, but would you say that your 62g springs are heavier then Originative's ?

Also how long will this GB run for?

Any recommendations out there for these springs on linears?  I'm using 55g (force between browns and blacks) lubed MX reds, and I quite like them.  I feel like getting one of each set, from 62g to 100g just to try them out.  I wish there was a spring tester bag :(

Sprit,  I don't know if you can answer this, but would you say that your 62g springs are heavier then Originative's ?

Also how long will this GB run for?
Hi !  CommonCurt ;)

I don't have the latest infos on what is exactly that 62g in USA currently.
My 62g is definitely slightly heavier than MX Blue.   :)
This GB will run for a limited time for the Qty I produced.   :)

Okay, thanks Sprit.  Slightly heavier than MX Blue should be perfect.

Sprit, as I'd mentioned in a PM, GH community considers stock Red/Brown/Blue springs to be 60g--maybe 58g but not 55g.  It might be confusing to others to refer to stock light springs as 55g.

Hey Sprit,

thanks for the GB!

Can you also offer this for Europe? I could be your proxy for EU.

I could ship the springs in a padded envelope with tracking for ~ 8,50$ to all countries in Europe (worldwide actually).

What do you mean by you added an initial soft touch? Is this Sprit exclusive :0? I'm assuming other springs don't have this.

Question @ Canadians that are interested in purchasing springs.

How many bags are you expecting to purchase? I'm shipping these in cardboard boxes so the springs don't get crushed/deformed in transit, so I'll need to find the optimal box size!

Hi! Dreamre    :)

an initial soft touch  =  a slight soft-er and lighter start than Cherry stocks, I mean.

Nothing exclusive, need to be evaluated by GH Members.   :)

You should be fine with padded envelopes. It'll cost a stamp to ship vs $8-$13. :)

can it be shipped by first class instead of priority?

You'd need to buy boxes to ship them.  Since people will be buying all kinds of order sizes, it likely won't be much more economical to buy a slew of random sized boxes and packing material (tape, peanuts/bubblewrap/foam) than it would to use the Flat Rate boxes.  In the long run, it's just easier to go the Flat Rate route since all the needed boxes can be dropped at home.

Still new here. Is there any benefit to gold plated springs or do they just look cool?

Some claim they add a difference to the feel.  I just think they're blingy.

Someone didn't believe me when I said they were just gold plated for the longest time =.=.

Feeling wise I really don't see a difference at all, if anything gold isn't as prone to rust as normal springs so longevity is there.

I wish that was the case.  :(
I've asked sprit about the dimensions for every bag of springs and they're approximately 10x10x2cm. Maximum "oversize" lettermail has a height restriction of 20mm. If I were to mail the springs in a bubble mailer it'll be ~4cm.

The good news is that Canadian invoices will be sent in CAD!

Yes, German Post has a flatrate for everything outside of Germany.

So, I could send these springs to India in a padded envelope with tracking for ~8,50$ (up to 500g per envelope if I am not mistaken).

I guess I'll have to add ~1$ to that because the initial shipping costs from Sprit to me have to be distributed among everybody that gets the spings from me.

Stamped envelope: I sent a few springs as samples to someone in a letter envelope, and at least two got deformed/flattened.  I'd not send springs as anything but small package after that experience, in a bubble mailer, with extra bubble wrap.  Normal letter mail gets squished between a lot of flat letters.

I just talked with Sprit about that. He proposed to use little plastic containers to protect the springs.

The max size of the envelope can be 35cm x 25cm x 5cm and 500g.

I guess we could put the springs in those plastic containers and put that container into the envelope and still be under 5cm height. We'll check what options there are  :thumb:

What type of container are you thinking of? If it's got sharp corners and/or hard material, it may rip through the envelope/crack into pieces when tossed and stacked on during Air mail.

We don't know yet. If we don't find a reasonable solution I'll have to use real boxes, but this will be ~25$ for max 2kg.

I don't think it's worth it to ship 10$ springs in a 25$ box just to avoid some broken springs. It would be cheaper to order 2x the springs you need and sort out the broken ones ;)

We will make a decision on that matter after we have checked all the alternatives.
