Excited yes, disappointed in the choice of actress for April though. Almost any other actress would be better. I would like to know more about the actual story though.

First he ruins Transformers and now TMNT

What have I done for which is taking his revenge?

Obligatory shot of helicopter flying from above ---- check
Obligatory shot of building exploding and falling on another building ---- check

Me paying $$ to see this ------ nope  :thumb:

As much as TMNT was part of my childhood, this ruins it.  For goodness sake, they have noses!

Movies are bad enough,  have to stop watching trailers and any shots from his movies to maintain the good old childhood memories.

+1
prince of persia was enough.
(...)Whereas back then I wrote about the tyranny of the majority, today I'd combine that with the tyranny of the minorities. These days, you have to be careful of both. They both want to control you. The first group, by making you do the same thing over and over again. The second group is indicated by the letters I get from the Vassar girls who want me to put more women's lib in The Martian Chronicles, or from blacks who want more black people in Dandelion Wine.
I say to both bunches, Whether you're a majority or minority, bug off! To hell with anybody who wants to tell me what to write. Their society breaks down into subsections of minorities who then, in effect, burn books by banning them. All this political correctness that's rampant on campuses is b.s.

Looks like it will suck more than TMNT 3... you know the one where they traveled in time to feudal Japan.
I bet there won't even be a theme song by Vanilla Ice or any Technotronic on the soundtrack. That's crap!
I was surprised there wasn't 70% more explosions in the trailer.

Doesn't really reference it in the trailer, anyone know if he followed through with his plan to have them be aliens instead of actual mutant turtles?

Looks like another ludicrously self-serious explodey teal & orange fest.

The turtles' character design is actually kind of an interesting direction, apart from THEIR HIDEOUS FACES.  Not interested in Megan Fox as April.  At. All.

The TMNT movie has been described as "Like Transformers but with robots that have charisma". :P

I hated Transformers, so I am not going to see it.

Were the turtles really supposed to be giants? I thought they were supposed to be as big as short humans, with April being a little bit taller than them.
I think these turtles look like tall black mean guys, with a clear streak of thug life and steroids.

I heard about this for the first time yesterday, and was exited. I normally dont watch trailers to not spoil anything about the movie but...

This is so bad...

I got excited for nothing. They dont even look like ninja turtles, and yes, more like aliens with shells.

Looking at the potential good side here, the bit of dialog we get from the turtles in this trailer does "feel" like TMNT should, IMO.  Mikey's mask gag is funny I think, and even if the turtles' design is terrible, they look very good from the visual effects standpoint of fully animated main characters in a live-action movie.

No worries... Just a mask. See, now it's off. Everything is going to be OK.

I don't think I'm going to spend any money on this one either but that joke itself made me chuckle.

I thought they hated each other and that's why she got fired from the Transformers franchise.

They should have picked the pornstar April O'neil.

The original Ninja Turtles movies are on legendary status.  I can only see Michael Bay ruin my memories.  But the corporations need to adopt a new generation of kids so they can buy toys and video games and bedsheets and t-shirts and whatever else.

I had ninja turtle curtains, pillows, blankets, sheets, lunchbox, shirts, action figures, vehicles, etc.....when I was a kid.  And I still have a ninja turtle blanket and t-shirt that my wife bought me :D

Robbie Rist, who played Michelangelo:

"You probably don't know me but I did some voice work on the first set of movies that you are starting to talk about sodomising," wrote Rist in an open letter to Bay. "I know believing in mutated talking turtles is kinda silly to begin with but am I supposed to be led to believe there are ninjas from another planet? The rape of our childhood memories continues ..."
