Is it possible to remap poker II's caps lock to LCtrl

Just remap it with some soft.

I used SharpKeys to swap left control and caps lock in all my computers, in that way I have any keyboard, even the one in my lap to work the same. It is very easy, it is based on registry, thus it does not require any hardware.

Software is plan B, but if I can do it in hardware that'd be great so it'd work on every computer regardless of OS etc

Then sure.  Four jumpers and some trace cuts and the switch is moved.  I moved a switch on my first Poker, although not on my Poker II.

The only thing to be really careful about is ensuring the diodes stay in their proper places in the new circuits.  Well, and not burning or lifting traces, or otherwise toasting your board.

Solder doesn't forget its remapping!
