I was looking at that bottom one the other day. What is the deal with the white/orange stem inserts?

Are you sure that the top one has Alps? Those are some funky keys.

the keycap stem broke off and is stuck inside the switch. it'll be difficult to get out

There are two types of these IIGS keyboards. This type is PBT caps and orange Alps. The other type is thick double-shot ABS caps and white SMK switches. You can tell it’s the PBT version because the spacebar is still ABS so it yellows, while the other caps don’t.
