I almost bought an actual HHKB this weekend, I hope this GB happens soon!

:)

Why not both? :D
derr....if you don't send me a PM....i'll send you one ;)

That is my typical stance.  I have 2 GH60s and 2 sprit 75%s on the way, plus four current MX-Minis.  I'm going to start selling boards. :(

Describe dem MX minis

2 that are mixed acrylic/alum with sitckered 60ish gram blacks.
1 thats all acrylic with about 40gram stickered blacks.
1 thats in pieces while I make a wood case or use the GON MX-mini Skinny I'm having made.
Finally, 2 Sprit 75%s with his plates or GON MX-mini Skinnies, unsure at this point.

Aka, too many. :3

GH60 doesn't even support full LED

Not *yet* it doesn't. Last I heard, komar007 had the beta LED module in hand and was testing it. The module was created to add LED support to the GH60. When it's coming out is a different story.

I am so glad that I have held out thus far on a 60% keyboard. The one piece Duck aluminum cases just ooze quality.

The only problem is I might have to buy a Eagle AND a Viper. I just cannot decide which I would prefer!  :-[

Hopefully this question hasn't been asked yet, but does anyone know exactly how configurable the key layout is going to be using the Duck Firmware?  Will we be allowed to decide where each individual key goes and whether it is accessible via the Fn layer or not?  Or, are there a few layouts that we have to choose from?

Good question. I don't know anything about Duck's firmware either. I'm used to a specific custom layout! If I can't get it with the viper I will cry ;o

Well, after looking on the duck website it appears that the entire layout may be configurable.  See the following:

http://duck0113.tistory.com/category/Duck%20mini%20firmware

An example is given where each number + row is edited in notepad and burned using the KMAC exe.  Hopefully, this is also how it will be for the viper and eagle.

Does anyone have any idea where one might be able to purchase a keyset with classic beige and blue text like the one on the eagle in on the duck website?  I've looked around and the only thing I could find was the keyset offered through Originative, but it doesn't have the standard ANSI bottom row.

There's no where you can get them. Unless you are very lucky on classifieds. The closest alternative I can think of is taihao doubleshot.
KMAC2 - Matrix Lab 8XV2.0 - TGR Jane v2 CE - KBD8X MKII - Meridian - Matrix Lab Noah - Fallacy x2 - MGA Standard - Geon Frog mini - Amano - Ciel60 - Prime_Elise - Matrix Lab 6XV3.0 aka Corsa

They're not going to be in a group buy as there are very limited numbers of them.  I will post on classifieds once I get all the details ready.

Mods: I need them on hand first though right if I want to post on classifieds?  I am helping TrueCustom, so I don't have any on hand.  It's like the group buys where they pay and I have them shipped.

Is this in reference to the Viper/Eagles? or the leftover king-savers/light-pads/duck-mini's?

My understanding is that this would then go into the Artisan Services section. I shall point a mod in this direction however.

Could you have TrueCustom make a post in the Classifieds with some signed/dated photographs and state that you're the proxy?  That should be sufficient :)  But really you could have him list those in the Artisan Services section (or list for him with him posting to confirm).  I think it makes more sense for these custom keyboards to be listed there.

I have asked Duck to sign our names and date with the boards. That should be ok I hope.

I won't know the details of quantities or price until next week.

Apparently most, if not all Korean custom boards use PCB-mounted stabs.
This is just from what I've heard.

I think it's just the anodizing issue that might come up like smudging during the anodizing process, spots. etc.  To reduce this problem they chose to offer fewer colours to maintain a better quality control.

They can offer it, but they prefer not to that's why they said that.

With regards to titanium anodizing, is this something that would be available in a range of colours, or does it produce a sort of 'spectrum' finish. Does anyone have any examples?

I know my surgical grade TI ear rings are anodized a specific color.  It's soaked in a solution with a electricity  applied.  If I remember right the level of the voltage determines the color.
