Well, to be exact, it's one day for Muslim new year; two days is for Eid al Fitr, the celebration that marks the end of the fasting month.
Plus some other holidays here and there. Some states get Vesakha (Vesak) day off too, plus some other Muslim holy/special days here and there. The middle of the year is pretty dry as far as public holidays, but from August onwards we get quite a lot. Very easy to get long four day (or more!) weekends if you take a day off at the right time...
For instance, this coming Tuesday (15th) is a public holiday, so I'm taking Monday off and getting a four day weekend so that I can watch as much of EVO 2014 as humanly possible, hahaha.
