[WTB] Siig Minitouch Plus!
« on: Thu, 19 June 2014, 19:32:19 »
I am interested in getting a Siig Minitouch Plus, the rubberdome version. Specifically I am looking for the version with BTC slider over PCB. Not foam and foil, and not the latest version with a membrane sheet. I believe that all black and gray MTPs have this switch variant:

However, they are also in some BTC 5100 models, for example the second keyboard in this video.

If you have one of these, let me know!

i think that 356mini original color have not silver color (or re-anodized) and Winkeyless layout maybe hard to find, GLWF ;)

Thanks for the tip. Bro Caps told me the same thing. The 356 Mini that originally caught my eye was tsangan's http://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=38092.0

I guess he had it refinished, if silver was never made.

to the top...!

Some info on tsangan's 356..

That isn't the original 356mini case. It's another case, just using the same PCB.

The actual 356mini case doesn't use feet. It's slanted like KMAC2, 356 series, etc. It only came in black, red and grey as far as I know. Also, the original has a brass plate unlike that one. Lots of photos here.

Good luck!

Thanks for the info, Photekq. I am actually going to close this thread until I can do more research and figure out what I'm really looking for -- looks like I was not properly informed about what I was trying to purchase.   :-\

The winkey addon was supposed to be from Imsto and only the 7x spacebar from GMK. But I don't think Sherry ever delivered either of those 2, only the base BSP sets.

bump... Who is going to be the hero for the TA group buy? We need caps for color matching, the group buy can start very soon if we get them. I need loaner caps or someone to sell me a board so I can provide loaner caps. Will pay fat stacks if you're selling...

Tipros 128 are not rare at all Due to ps2, outdated, 2kRo. I use on a daily basis but don't really recommend unless you are a geek who likes to tinker. Defect had problems because his laptop was too new to have ps2 port iirc

Wel,l now I regret deciding not to purchase it from him :p

Do you know if he sold it to anyone? I know Tinnie was trying to buy it when I had it "in my cart" so to speak.

It was sold, although I am not totally sure who bought it and who has it now. I think he's going to follow up and try to locate it, although I doubt the current owner will want to sell it.

I had a lead on one from a reputable member of Deskthority, but he totally stopped communicating with me and I heard he sold his board to someone else since. : |

Thanks a lot, I hope not as well, although if someone comes up with a mint ANSI model, I won't mind too much. ^-^
