Half-height keycaps?
« on: Mon, 23 June 2014, 10:35:18 »
I love the half-width keys used for the directions and function buttons on compact Mac keyboards.

Are there mechanical keyboards that use them?

There are some MX caps like that too...

pretty sure SP made them.
Though, you can't have them right on top of each other like on a rubberdomes as the switch still needs a minimum distance from each other.

Appears to be from the same keyboard that Ivan linked. Except the other 1x keys have crossbar and don't look like DCS profile.

The limitation likely being the size of the switch. MX switches are what they are, and maybe there are no commercially available MX series switches in a smaller dimension? I am providing an educated guess here, and have not researched it further.

The narrow switches pictured could still have full size switches inside, as the buttons have at least a full space width apart anyway.
