The best rubber feet I've found so far
« on: Mon, 14 July 2014, 14:57:29 »
We've had a lot of threads about this... so many that I wasn't sure which one to update... so here's yet another one.

I have bought 5+ types of rubber feet over the past few months (mainly for HHKB Pro 2) but none have been satisfying. They were either too thick, too ugly (round = yuck), not sticky enough, etc.

I finally found some that I like. They are 2.5mm thick -- just barely thicker than the two rubber feet on the HHKB. Very sticky adhesive and very good anti-slip properties. Plus, nice and cheap.

Do these rubber feet work well on a smooth surface desk like glass?

Just tried it. Yup, the board stayed firmly in place.

Nice pricing + shipping. I'll probably grab these for a few different things, thanks.

Just say NO to ABS keycaps

14.95 shipping

Reasonable, but QQ 15 shipping for what's only a 1-2 dollar purchase

Maybe we can find something similar in Canada. I tried some of those feet from the hardware store and the board still slides around on the desk

Have you tested these ones out?
I guess I should just go researching

Home depot carries something exactly like this and ones that are round in 3 different sizes. About $3-$4 a pack.

They work pretty well although you have to give the adhesive some time to properly set before you can go wild.
