It's got the shape of a Realforce (without the top area or the arrows, etc), but the comments mention MX (Cherry?) and it's got a Filco keycap. Anyone know?

It looks like a standard controller, so most likely no capacitive matrix scanning going on there. I'd suspect MX switches then.

edit: Okay. You can clearly see the PCB was cut off, and the switches are of the plate-mounted variety (no jumper wires there). The strain relief looks suspiciously Filco-ish, so I suspect it's a filco with most of the stuff cut off.

My best guess is that it is a very HIGHLY modded FILCO FKB104xxxx or FKBN104xxxx due to the position of the cable coming in.

Yeah, beautiful board.  Dreamboard for a lot of us here I would expect.  They figured out the color coded, no printed key number keys as well that's lost on hhk's.  You can actually figure out what number you're pressing if you need to for passwords, but still look cool. lol  I wish it was more muted colors, but still really great layout.

On the right hand side you can see a very very light line there where they took the "cheek" of the board and glued it. Could be just the photo but yeah, impressive. I love the jumper lines on the circuit board, so neat and clean...

I wouldn't mind getting a tenkeyless Filco, but what I realized is there is no numpad function at all unlike the IBM minis.  It's a shame, because I really need the numpad at work.

Autohotkey? Someone sent me a script to do just that a couple weeks ago.

That would require work.  For that, I would just rather have the full-blown numpad.

The controller used on this board is the LIMKB (Less is more Keyboard Controller) which was developed by the guys over at OTD and is pretty popular for all Korean Keyboard mods.

That controller also offers various custom features including macros and custom modifier/fn keys. So this board here might aswell have a virtual numpad!

If required I can ask a Korean friend later what exactly the post says, even though there doesn't seem to be much info in it.

The keyboard uses a LIMKB. Should be a quite decent controller, I'm currently only lacking the oscillator to try it out, which should arrive in a few days.

What Microcontroller does it use? Looks like a PIC16F or PIC18 series.

On the other hand it does mean there's no poxy hardware programmed FN key that can't be used for anything and takes up prime real estate. I'd just go for an autohotkey script, just making a numpad won't take much work, especially if you only need the numbers and not the numlock off functions.
