QFR Internals

Spent the past half an hour searching but turned up nothing useful.

Does anyone have any high res close up images of QFR (most interested in tkl and full sized) internals?  Especially the circuit board and areas around the controller.

I took these when I modded my bro-in-law's QFR.

If you right-click and open in new tab/window you can see the full resolution (about 4,000 px wide).

Yup, the controller is on a breakout board that plugs into the black sockets.

Yup, the controller is on a breakout board that plugs into the black sockets.

And bpiphany's Frosty Flake is a drop-in replacement for it! :cool:

Thanks ... all the info I needed!!  Seems like I can use a Filco too .... pricier option though :(

Rosewill RK-9000, very similar to a QF XT:



You can get replacement controllers for all these boards from bpiphany :) See this for an example.
Currently using: RK-9000WH/GR, CMS QFXT w/ Ghost Squid

+1 on the bpiphany replacement controllers. I use them on each of my Costar boards and I love 'em. All the programmability of the Phantom at Newegg prices!
