Desktop Boom Mic Suggestions

Hey guys,

Haven't posted here in a while, but I figured someone here would have a good answer. I'm in the market for a desktop boom mic, but I really don't want to spend any more than I have to. The quality doesn't need to be studio quality, but I also don't want a bad mic.

It would be a huge help and if it's on Amazon, I'd be even happier!

I really like my Blue Yeti. Comes with a desk mount and can be boom mounted as well *I think*

I'm a big fan of audio-technica, so I'd go with them.

If you need a boom, you can make a cheap one out of a lamp. Check ikeahacks for more info.

I've used the AT2020 for a little while now and it's great, very good at getting rid of the clickity clack from my keyboard. AT2020's can be found on ebay a lot cheaper usually (although used).

AT2020+ is also available if you need to do monitoring through the mic, but it costs quite a bit more. They can also be found on sale from time to time.

If you don't NEED a boom mic I would check out the samson go mic or the modmic. The Samson C01u is also recommended a lot.

I like my Blue Snowball, but I only use it for like podcast stuff and Twitch, so it probably depends on what you are using for. I would get an XLR to USB converter and a regular microphone for anything else.
