Thanks nubbs for organizing this year's GH SS! Appreciate the work you've done to make sure no one gets scrooged :thumb:

Can't wait to open my box! Pretty sure I know what's inside due to the smell that it's filling my room though. :))

Someone sent you the cards against humanity box of poop?

I'm just glad it got moving and done in a timely fashion.  Hopefully everyone ends up with a package, but if not, I'll/we'll get it worked out.

That would be some amazing smelling poop.

Ok, it's picture time  :thumb:

I am going to start off with saying that I got extremely spoiled by my S.S., ridiculously so.   I am still in awe of the generosity that I have received and want to say again, a huge thank you.  The amount of thought as to what I would like was awesome.

As stated before, I accidentally opened this package when it arrived several days ago as it was shipped with my return address which is something my Dad does so I thought it was from him.

Inside the box I found a letter on top and all the little presents in a bunch of peanuts.  The GPU was in bubble wrap.

(Recreated - sort of - box opening):
84951-0

Everything laid out:
84953-1

The Tein Dampachi doll is already in the window of my car (I will post a photo later after I clean the car and will also add the spoon socks then) as well as the air freshener.  There is truly no replacement for the squash air freshener - it's the best.  The keychain is very cool - the thing is metal and the turbine actually spins when you blow into it.  I am waiting for a day off of family and Christmas stuff to strip down my computer and build it on my new test bench with the GPU planted right on top.   :thumb:

Thank you S.S. for making my Christmas absolutely amazing!

Or did you mean the return address is same as receiver?

I don't thinks its my Dad.  What I meant is that he usually uses the shipping address as the return just in case.

Thought I'd lighten the traveling load and open my SS gift today.  Coming from GHers there could be something in it I don't want to take traveling.

It appears as though I was wrong, but it's a happy sort of wrong,

Such creativity!  It's inspiring me to turn this cube thing into the ghost of Christmas present,

SS, I do love it.  Thank you,

My gift arrived impressively early this month, I was super excited... and then a second package arrived too a week later :o

The big one was first!

An awesome card from Katushkin and a box of goodies from the UK :D
I may be weird but I think it's the coolest thing, when you go to a different country, to just go in a normal supermarket or whatever and try stuff you've never seen before.  And I have never been to Britain so I've never had almost all of these.

Like Jaffa Cakes.  I've always read/heard about these things being this British food but had no idea what they were, going to try them first :)  There seems to be some kind of orange content to them, from the can/tube?
And a funny thing, the one thing I have tried in the lot and don't really like is the Werthers.  But, when I'm opening the package my SO goes "ARE THOSE OLD PEOPLE CANDY?" and it turns out they are his favourite.. so he now has a bag of Werthers to enjoy at work too  :p

And Santa gave a second package too :O  Both were in super nice boxes and decorated, a lot of effort went into this and I am super lucky.

Switch tester :D  I have really been wanting one of these because trying to explain to rl people the concept of what I make and why on earth people spend so much money on keyboards is often a bit awkward.  Now anytime someone is interested I can get them to push the buttons and see what the fuss is about, and maybe get an idea of which one they would like :D  And katushkin is even going to send me a couple of other switches once he gets them.  Like jailhouse blues, which I have always wanted to try.

Plus the Miami face cap dude and an inflatable Santa addressed to Noko on the back :D  And more chocolate heh.

Christmas pudding moustache man and inflated Santa now improving my crappy tree, complementing the half-cut ribbon cable, USB thing, and protein shaker ball  :p

Thank you so much katushkin, every part was awesome! Was feeling homesick today and this made me feel a lot better.  Merry Christmas :thumb:

I am absolutely floored by the generosity and thought that went into the gift from my Secret Santa.  I am alone this holiday unfortunately, but this gift has totally helped make the holidays feel special.  I cannot wait to find out who my SS is so I can personally thank them for their generosity.  Can't wait to see what everyone else got!

While not technically the secret santa gift, it was a surprise santa gift from Zeal.  It's hard to tell what it is from the picture, but it's 20+ year old puerh tea, a strawberry kit kat, and a kind little note.

Sorry for the crappy webcam shot, but my brand new phone decided it won't turn on and I have to get to my grandma's shortly, so no time for the DSLR.

Gotta love one day delivery for those surprise presents! :) Everyone should experience the joys of receiving a secret, unexpected present — including nubbs :).

As mentioned in the note, I'm glad my bag of "tea" didn't get flagged as the other types of "dried leaves", or run into any quarantine issues for exporting food. :))

I feel like those pictures should be posted in another thread and the highlight of your album should be your secret santas gift to you..

Crappy photo due to having an ancient D70 that deals poorly with low light and not having the setup to get proper lighting for something this sized.  Then post processed to get a retro feel to it since I felt it was appropriate for the gift.

Inside the package was a nifty old Zenith keyboard with a broken G cap and yellow Alps, a plastic Danbo model that you put together (if idiot me can figure out the non-English directions), some candy, including some awesome little candies I sometimes get from a Thai restaurant I love, and a hard to make out hand made knight's helmet cap that looks like it's made from plaster and hot glue.

All in all it's a fun gift and it looks like there was a little bit of stalking involved with it.  Thanks Hwood!

Crappy photo due to having an ancient D70 that deals poorly with low light and not having the setup to get proper lighting for something this sized.  Then post processed to get a retro feel to it since I felt it was appropriate for the gift.

Once I got that board in the mail, I debated keeping it cause I liked it so much :p And that cap was just some stupid little thing I did when I was thinking about making some of my own caps (not that it would even stand up to casting) :)) I actually never though about what language those danbo instructions would be though

Here's mine! Some 62g gold springs, GID cable with gold connectors and some Green Tea Kit Kats :)

Really happy with my presents, the 62g gold springs will be perfect for my next board and the cable perfectly matches my GH60 setup at the moment. It's especially nice because it's the sort of thing I always find hard to prioritize money for.

The Kit Kats were amazing as well, they have pretty much taken over peanut butter M&M's as my new favorite hard to find candy :)

Thanks Santa  :thumb:

It's a good width!  If it's half-width it's too narrow, and full-width is too wide.
