Among other things, I have a 17.3 inch gaming laptop. The point of the laptop is ease of use, it doesn't matter how heavy it is. Plop it right down on a table, open it up and there you are in Dead Space or Battlefield or whatever else. The larger screen itself also adds to the experience.
As opposed to having to then bring in the monitor, keyboard and speakers and an extra power strip to plug it all into. I've seen some comments on tech sites that gaming all-in-ones because of the larger screen issue (up to 24-inches) would make those good for people who end up in hotels for long amounts of time, because they have most of the ease of carrying of gaming laptops, the same performance profile, and a larger screen.
"The first ever gaming notebook..."
I thought notebooks were meant to be a smaller version of a laptop?
No those two terms are interchangeable. (Or at least they are in the states) As has been said it's netbooks that are small.

I think we're going to have to start calling them tomes[/url
That's fantastic. I never liked the term notebook, but I may start using tome. Or maybe grimoire...
