HHKB Wakeup Function broken?
« on: Wed, 05 November 2014, 12:53:32 »
I have Dipswitch 6 toggled on but the board won't wake my computer from sleep.

Anyone else have this issue?

rMBP running Yosemite
HHKB Pro 2 Type-S

Edit:
Nevermind, I've figured out the issue.
Thanks for all the suggestions!

In the end it turns out that the HHKB doesn't play nice with USB hubs. I gave the HHKB it's own USB slot on my laptop and it all works fine now.
Now I'm just questioning why I sold my uber-decked out Thinkpad for this dinky Apple product with only 2 USB slots (worst design choice ever).

I don't have this problem, running Windows 8.1 on a self-built PC.

Not a problem in Linux or windows for me either.

Try deactivating dip 6 and setting it back to on. A dip switch not fully engaged can cause issues

DIP was changed while the keyboard was unplugged?
Quoting me causes a posting error that you need to ignore.

I have this problem on an older Mac mini.

I tried toggling a few DIP switches, then I could wake up the Mac, but the firs time I tried to enter the password no keystrokes were recognised.

Now I just click the mouse to wake the Mac.

I tried toggling on and off, still not working

Yep.

Weird and a bit disappointing =/

Did you unplug and replug the keyboard after changing DIP switch setting?

The changes do not take effect until you do.

Which key are you pressing to wake your Mac?

I usually used space or Shift (with the above results).

Try using it it Mac mode only with no other dips set (shoutz to cam'ron) including having 6 set to the off position

Tried everything you guys suggested but I think I figured out my problem!

The HHKB doesn't want to get along with my AmazonBasics USB 3.0 hub.

I gave my HHKB its own dedicated USB slot and wakeup works perfectly!

Thanks for all the help, guys!
