Cherry G80-1800 Amazon DE
« on: Fri, 07 November 2014, 07:32:23 »
So I just bought this thing a few days ago and it looks like the seller has more in stock. I'm talking about a Cherry G80-1800 in ISO-DE layout with MX blacks. This board is currently available from a marketplace vendor via Amazon Germany for 2€ plus shipping. Within Germany that makes 6€ including shipping, with is ridiculously cheap for a mech imo. I'm not sure about international shipping though, might be bit pricier unfortunately. Here is the link: http://www.amazon.de/gp/offer-listing/B001U3U7QI/ref=dp_olp_used?ie=UTF8&condition=used
The board I received is really nice for the price. Everything is working fine. Of course one can see that it is old and used  but I guess one cannot expect a new board for this price. Maybe this can be nice cheap start into the world of mechs for someone.

International for a standard sized keyboars should be more than $25-30, and at that rate the switches themselves are probably worth enough to cover all that and then some

link on the amazon page says 10-13euro (~$12.5-16) to ship it to the US. So maybe under $20 to get 105 black switches if you don't care for the ISO layout.

It is actually pretty amazing these are the 105key WINKEY models even. You never see a used 104key WINKEY ANSI layout and new are easily $120-150 to get an 1865 from US or China or 1867 from Korea

The seller offers international shipping. For USA/Canada it's 23 Euro for one keyboard and 10 Euro more for every item you order. So in total for 1 board 25 Euro/~32$.

I bought one as well, in very good condition and quite cheap for some nice black switches.

The 6x spacebar layout sucks so much for putting better key caps on but given how cheap these are and how these one sided pcbs are made and the fact there is no plate I have a theory: you could alter the bottom layout to have winkeyless 7x spacebar layout by:
with a dremel to make the stab holes  and switch holes.
an xacto hobby knife to cut and terminate traces.
And some hand wiring and glue to finish the job.
You could also paint the case :)

I bring this up because it's what I was going to do with my winkey 11900 but I chickened out.
