Realforce 105u ps/2 not working?
« on: Tue, 18 November 2014, 11:03:08 »
I have a Realforce 105u and it works fine in usb but I would -really- like to use it in the ps/2 port. I have tried it with a regular adapter ofc (making sure the adapter works with other keyboards) but no go. Does it simply not work in the ps/2, do I need a special ps/2 adapter? Anything else I'm missing?

Ps2 is not by default enabled. You have to go into your bios and enable it there. A keyboard with ps2 should also work in the bios itself regardless of whether or not you enabled it.

I'm not expert in this but I believe the keyboard need to have its own converter.

i.e.  Filco, Das Keyboard 3... etc.

Since the adaptor you slap on probably only change the connector head but doesn't actually change how the data is being output.

So you'd need a converter that actually converts the data.

Did you restart your computer? PS/2 is not plug and play and needs a restart.

Topre RF boards don't support PS/2 via a passive adapter, you would need an active USB-PS/2 converter.
Currently using: RK-9000WH/GR, CMS QFXT w/ Ghost Squid
