Keyboards are just a thing. It's ****ed up to treat the death of someone as equivalent to the destruction of keyboards. It sucks that the keyboards were destroyed, it's even more terrible that someone lost their life without warning, leaving people behind who loved them.

Thats what I was thinking, why are people talking about the boards, and not the guy who probably left behind a family.

Eh I obviously don't wish for anyone to die, not even for kishsavers, but I have no crocodile tears. There are a lotta people who die that I like way more than him. Definitely an unexpected ending to the whole episode, though.

I thought the prevailing idea was that someone has a right to do with their own property whatever they like, including sell it at a high price? And that it's none of our business telling them what they should or shouldn't do with it? If that's the case, then why are people so upset about a bank manager destroying bank property? Emotional attachment, that's why.

This. I think that's why we cringe at the thought of this. Nobody seriously wants anyone to die- that's just said in jest here, but, to destroy rare things that plenty of people really want and will appreciate, and for that matter aren't made anymore... makes me kind of sad.

Yes, I know this is a First World Problem, but it still makes me sad.

It's kind of like watching impounded classic Ferraris being crushed.

To me it's because they're really nice keyboards that are highly sought after by those who know exactly what they are being destroyed by someone who doesn't care, despite being informed of their value, in a position of control. Being in a bank they should at least have considered the possible financial value, which most likely would have been enough to make it worth the minimal effort required to save them and sell them off. Laziness won the day and ruined ours.

Perhaps an exercise in futility, but I'm now going to pursue my local bank branches and see what may turn up. It is, surprisingly, an approach I haven't tried yet.
