Inconsistant and fading caps, chattering, warped casing, etc. I owned a Choc Mini and sold it. IMHO PLU, Plum are much better values if you want cheap chinese boards.

I too owned a Choc Mini. It had PBT keycaps and I liked the quality. The casing was perfect, for instance. I really liked the casing. But based on what you're saying, it seems there is some inconsistent quality ie possibly they don't have good quality control.
Ultimately it is quality control that matters. A cheap OEM can probably produce as good or better than a better OEM if one is having a good day and the other a bad day. But difference is that the cheap OEM will not bother to scrap the products of a bad batch, whereas the quality OEM will test and dump the products of a bad batch.
