Hello from Croatia
« on: Sun, 04 January 2015, 12:59:37 »
Greetings GH!

My name is dotnetmonkey (okay, it is Boris) and I'm big fan of mech keyboards! I have Das Keyboard 3 and in a few days I will get HHKB Pro 2 Type S!
After that, I'm planning to buy Poker 2 or KBP V60 mini ... Only need $$$ ... :)

I'm typing practically all day so "wasting" money on keyboard is great hobby for me ...

Don't know what to say... maybe - come to Croatia on vacation? :P

B.

Welcome!

I was in Croatia the other year for a music festival. It was great. Beautiful scenery and the locals were awesome. I'm not sure if this spelling is correct, but cevapcici (beef sausage) is delicious. :thumb:

Seems like you are off to a great start with your new hobby. HHKB type-s is #1. :p

Enjoy your stay!

Welcome to Geekhack!

A nice collection of keyboards you have started :)

It is a great idea to try different keyboards, you might stumble on a keyboard you hadn't heard of before that just happens to be perfect for you!
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Dobro došao imenjače  :)

You will not regret purchasing the HHKB if you love the 60% form-factor. Now the obligatory joke:

Pristupa srpski državljanin hrvatskoj graničnoj kontroli i hrvatski mu carinik na engleskom jeziku uzima osobne podatke. Dođe do zanimanja i upita ga:
- "Occupation?".
A Srbin će:
- "No, no, just visiting!"

A Serbian citizen approaches a Croatian border and the control guard asks him for personal information. It comes to the question of his profession, to which the Croatian border guard asks:
- "Occupation?"
Serb says: "No, no, just visiting!"

@clickClack

Hvala na dobrodošlici! :D Vjerujem da je HHKB predobra tipkovnica. Jedva čekam da dođe ovih dana ... Probao sam već prije topre switcheve i oduševljen sam. To je jedan od razloga zašto sam i uzeo HHKB.

@MessyCaps

Das is great keyboard ... It looks very nice and if you like that style you should buy it. For me, it is much better than similar "shiny" gaming mech keyboards with lot macros and multimedia keys.

Welcome to GH! The HHKB is great, in the future you may want to try a realforce or f660c which have the same topre switches mounted on a metal plate

No I don't have an HHKB, just the K95 but I used to have a bunch of boards but I moved from Canada to Japan so I could only bring one.
