TKL MX blue Keyboards?
« on: Thu, 08 January 2015, 23:02:18 »
Hi everyone, I'm looking for a TKL keyboard with cherry MX blues (with Cherry Stabs). A very specific criteria, but yea :P. Lastly I don't mind back lighting I guess; however, it would be better without it because it would keep the cost down. Thank you for the help everyone.

Why cherry stabs? It will limit your options.

If you want to limit yourself to Cherry stabs, which IMO feel horrible, you're best bet is the KUL board posted by abjr.

If you are willing to go with Costar stabilizers, which feel 1000x better but are **slightly** harder to work with, then you could go for a Filco, WASDv2, or a Code. If you wanted to go cheaper and are willing to sacrifice some build quality, you could pick up a Cooler Master board as well.

Ducky keyboards use Cherry stabilisers.  Clipped, so some claim, which is supposed to improve the feel, although I can't really tell any difference between my Ducky Shine 1 and Ducky Shine 3.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

You'd be great with either a KUL or a Ducky

If you want backlighting go for the ducky, if not go for the KUL.

If you decide on costar stabs, there's other options.
