Hello there!

I'm relatively new to this mechanical keyboard thing, having gotten my first one late last year, and have been lurking here ever since (although having worked retail in the past, I just found out that I've used MX blacks for years without knowing). Looking forward to bleeding money for bits of plastic!

Which keyboard have you got now?

I used a terminal keyboard for a couple of years without realising it had MX blacks in it!  After learning that, I had to check all my other old keyboards, but sadly no more mechanical switches.  Although I did find some (mostly) MX-compatible keycaps on an old Gateway keyboard.

No idea what they use nowadays, since I'm not there anymore, but it was part of the POS system, with a built-in card reader. It said "Made in UK" on the bottom and weighed about two kilos, despite being quite compact and having a plastic shell. The double-shot enter key was worn through to the white plastic.

I pulled  off a key once out of boredom and saw that it had a switch quite unlike the scissor switch on my laptop, and said "Cherry" on it, which I thought was a very odd name, in a kitschy 80s Asian trademark kind of way, à la Lucky Goldstar. Only recently did I realise it was Cherry MX black.

Probably a thick plate, and lots of electronics (especially for the card reader).
