Topreism is one of those aspects of life that are so strange, so unique, that us mere mortals are unable to understand.  :thumb:

What makes a certain switch type a unique aspect of life? Its just a type of keyboard. Try one, and I am sure you will like it. If not, sell it and get another type. That's all there is to it..

A good friend lent me his keyboard for almost four months; I really tried to like it, but I just never got into it, its aesthetics is great though, and the sound is nice.

Cool, then I guess topre isn't for you! Its nice that you got to try it without buying it.  :)

My mind is made up. I am going to get one. Its probably time anyway that I got into ansi layout as you never get great group buy sets in ISO or have to spend extra for the addon's. Plus getting the blank version will finally push me to learning to touch type the number keys.

She is awesome, but truth be told the lending had a side interest.  :p

but if it was great I think more people would be trying to get it on here...

Ah no, that's a logical fallacy, it's called "argumentum ad populum"  ;)

Several of us here have an HHKB Pro JP: to me it's even better than an HHKB Pro 2 (which I used for one year).  I simply cannot go back to wider spacebar now that I got used to modifiers easily accessible with the thumbs  :thumb:

(also Super and Hyper in addtion to Ctrl, Shift, Alt/Meta is just plain sweet)
HHKB Pro JP (daily driver) -- HHKB Pro 2 -- Industrial IBM Model M 1395240-- NIB Cherry MX 5000 - IBM Model M 1391412 (Swiss QWERTZ) -- IBM Model M 1391403 (German QWERTZ) * 2 -- IBM Model M Ambra -- Black IBM Model M M13 -- IBM Model M 1391401 -- IBM Model M 139? ? ? *2 -- Dell AT102W -- Ergo (split) SmartBoard (white ALPS apparently)
