Ripster got banned here and all his content got removed (including the wiki edits). His own explanation. He now is moderator of /r/MechanicalKeyboards.

He was on Deskthority for a while but got himself banned there too ... Too small board for his ego, I guess.
Then he moved to Reddit and started spewing dirt about GH and DT over there.

But, tbf, none of those threads give a true explanation. They all are just 25 iterations of "He wrote the wiki, he was an *******, got banned, now talks ****".

So you have to accept that people coming over from there want to know what happened. Especially when his answers are even more vague.

I think the he did a lot of research, he became an ******* and threw tantrums, got banned, then got banned everywhere else explanation is all the conversation really needs.  Digging deeper into it only brings up more drama from the past.  Drama deserves to stay in the past.  Giving it more attention does no one any good, it only strokes the ego of a crazy person with a cult following.

You're right. I would say there should probably be a stickied post, but that would only fuel it more.

I guess we have to accept that there will always be threads like this.

I have seen the same phenomenon on other boards as well. A user contributes a lot of useful stuff, is funny and is well liked. Then his ego blows up and he starts believing that the normal forum rules don't apply to him. So when moderators start telling him off, he throws a tantrum, and the situation only gets worse.

FWIW, it's my understanding that he threatened the Geekhack admins and owner(s) with legal action if they DID NOT remove his content.

So, every time he cries about how we deleted all his wikis, he only has himself to blame for that.

There is a connection that was made pointing to Ribbed-4-Her-Pleasure being directly/indirectly responsible/involved. I'm not one of the sec. guys that did the tracework  and therefore only know it secondhand. Several ip addresses and a physical location was isolated...those 2 items combined with known information indicates a strong form of knowledge/involvement. Hats off to making a big wave though! In retrospect it's funny. Our little virtual world doesn't exist without a power plug. Perspective.

Perhaps when nobody talks about him anymore he comes back on one of his fresh account to get the discussion going again.

Well it is not a good thing to think about someone's death no matter what sick actions he has done in the past. I just hope he'll get what he deserves considering the actions he does in his life.
