Alps GGMM-101; what switches does this use?

Claims to have Alps mechanical key switches, but the description says Hi-Tek and the lifetime is rated at 30 million minimum which I think is higher than any SKCM/SKCL switch. Anyone know what kind of switches this uses?

Bet it is Black Tactile Alps.

Definitely looks like an Alps Bigfoot. SKCM Black wasn't all that common in them though AFAIK.

Probably white Alps, but possibly black Alps. Ignore the “Hi-Tek” part.

Someone was asking about that the other day — they found one with an FCC ID that didn't match the rubber dome version (MIDAS), but was reported to be mechanical. The model in the auction above is MCL-101, which according to the box has clicky switches, when it blatantly does not:

GGMM-101 is a curious model number — still don't have confirmation of the official term to use instead of "Alps Bigfoot", since we don't know for certain that the part codes Sandy found were not used for other keyboards besides the banana-shaped ones like GGMM-101.

Actually, the manual says GGMC-101, not GGMM-101. You can see it in the photo if you enlarge it.

That explains why I typed GGMC-101 into Google to find more about it. Having found nothing, I realised I'd somehow mistyped "GGMC" instead of "GGMM"! Turns out I was correct all along.

I know it doesn't. This is a point of confusion: GGMC-101 and MCL-101 are different but similar shapes and people get them mixed up, but now it's worse, because the latter shape is one that I thought was only used for rubber dome keyboards, but in fact it was also used for mechanical (MCL-101).

Keyboards of the GGMC-101 shape can be mechanical (Alps/Silitek) or rubber dome (Silitek). Keyboards of the MCL-101 shape can also mechanical or rubber dome, both made by Alps.

It looks exactly like a rubber dome Alps keyboard (MIDAS101-102) I have found recently. So I guess Alps made some rubber dome boards of this shape as well.

Haha well I do hope that if someone does buy it it doesn't turn out to be rubber dome - the price is rather royal even for a mech board xD .
