I'm looking for a proxy now :( anyone can help me :(

I'm happy to help; I live in Florida, USA and don't mind shipping overseas. Does Massdrop not ship to your location?

nice price, i just joined  :thumb:

Especially now, getting all the extras as well for that small price.

Can you imagine a colour-way done in the 80's still has resonance even now, everyone and his dog is into this Group Buy  8)

Always knew the older colour-ways will attract far more people when you know it has a timeless quality that never ages into the future.

This will be my first GMK set, i chose the right one! :D

Nothing is extra.  We will all receive the exact keys we agreed to purchase when we committed to this group buy.  Things aren't "extra" just because we didn't need to include them.

Unless intelli has some magic up his sleeves.

@intelli78: You know what'd be pretty cool to have around the time we start seeing sets shipped, is if you could color match the final GMK TA colors for some rad matching custom hard cases.

I'm going to wait until payday tomorrow, but from reading everything, this is quite obviously a historic event. For my first set of custom keycaps to be GMK Triumph Adler? You guys have me hooked.

Now I'll have till June to find the perfect board for them.
Got nothing for ya. Head back to camp.

I saw there were 2 left until it tipped.  As much as I don't like what's happening.  I like Inteli enough to support it when it was obv so close to fruition.

I honestly wonder how many sales should be chalked up to Massdrop and how many to the fact that Intelli is active and well-known across all three largest online keyboard communities. He also promoted this hard.

A similar quantity was reached with GMK Hyperfuse despite not being on Massdrop.

But it also ran for 45 days I believe. I wonder how the sales distribution was for Hyperfuse over time...

Both HF and TA got similar quantity (so far), and much higher in comparison to Dolch. Maybe we just prefer a "Click the Thing to Buy" style GB rather than "Fill out a form and wait for an invoice" style GB?

Can you imagine how many people would have jumped on either this or Hyperfuse if they hadn't run so nearly together? I myself didn't buy into Hyperfuse just because Triumph Adler was coming up soon.

Hard to say. Is a form too big a hurdle for someone who is committed enough to drop a hundred bucks on these sets? And I know Hyperfuse was well below 250 up until the last few days of the buy.

I think it's all Elrick's hype that does it.

Especially now, getting all the extras as well for that small price.

I haven't been following this, what are the extras?

Here's what all comes in the box:
Show Image

So no extras then.

EXTRAS....so you think getting 7" spacers in Grey and Teal means nothing to you greedy lot PLUS - ISO and Tsangan Set bundled in as well ?

Normally there is only 104 keys (check Sherry's dodgey prices for similar GMK made sets) and that's it but you are getting way more amount of keys for $99.99USD.

Go to any CURRENT webstore anywhere and try and buy a complete ABS set, including a Tsangan and ISO bundled into a complete price tag of $99.99, see what happens?

The standard sold set on the Web is 104 keys and that's it, but we are paying $99.99 for 121 keys.  Don't have to be Einstein to work out this package gives you far more than any other for that price tag.

Best of all it's 100% MADE in Germany meaning the MOST excellent quality that could ever be manufactured on this planet in 2015  :thumb: .

Exactly.    Good quality from GMK.  Great price from MassDrop.  Maybe MassDrop could do another Dolch set.

by the way, is it too optimistic to set the order time to just 12 days? Even smaller keyset GB took more than that if I remember right

//order put in soon

In hindsight it was probably to keep the GB from getting too large and making it gum up the works at the production plant. Over 550 purchased so far! Holy crap.

But I'm guessing that the overwhelming success of HF and TA might have something to do with the fact that Hyperfuse and Triumph Adler were promoted pretty extensively outside of the GH community whereas GMK Dolch was pretty much unknown outside of GH (source: I wasn't a member of GH when GMK Dolch orders were open and I had no clue the GB existed until I joined GH a couple months later and orders were closed already).

In hindsight it was probably to keep the GB from getting too large and making it gum up the works at the production plant. Over 550 purchased so far! Holy crap.

You are kidding right?

GMK produces millions of key-caps for huge Corporations, World-wide they pay anywhere up to half a million dollars to complete one production run.

Our tiny order amount could be done between lunch breaks at their factory in Germany.  GMK is really large so don't even worry about our orders ever flooding their molds, it will never happen.

Yes, I can assure everyone that GMK is happy to make as many keycaps as we can order.
Please consider carefully before you decide to comment, for Jesus.

The two sets are both GMK, but they are different in so many other ways. HF uses standard colors; TA colors are all custom. HF has been produced in two other profiles by Signature Plastics; TA is the first run of this colorway by any vendor (excluding the vintage). HF is decidedly futuristic; TA is nostalgic and timeless. HF supports a large number of nonstandard layouts; TA was forced to limit extra keys because of higher costs associated with custom colors. HF ran for a month and a half; TA is running for less than two weeks.

The fact that the two buys are so different is really encouraging, because it proves that a successful GMK group buy is not a fluke, but a new reality for the community. Where do we go from here? It's anyone's guess, but I really believe we're just getting warmed up.

Exactly.    Good quality from GMK.  Great price from MassDrop.  Maybe MassDrop could do another Dolch set.

No point in re-running sets.  Need to do more new sets with them instead.

GMK Toxic. We can get the numbers now and we all know how amazing that set looks.
It's a good width!  If it's half-width it's too narrow, and full-width is too wide.

****in ay man, complete end-game set for me. It was the first GB I signed up for here, by the time it actually ran I had already moved away from buying SP sets to GMK only. If we could get a Toxic GMK buy I'd definitely buy 2-3 sets.

Hyperfuse was already well known outside of the GH crowd, and TA has the allure of being a custom color set with a certain mystique behind its history. not sure if something like Dolch or Classic Beige, good looking as they are, would garner the same massive reception away from this forum. not familiar with Toxic so i can't speak for its appeal level

dolch is a really classic timeless look though.  i have a feeling it might have the same sort of reception.

then again, it doesn't have the same allure of something you haven't been able to get before...

Problem is its been run a ton of times already. It's already been run twice on GH in addition to the two times that Sherry ran it with Originative. That's a lot of sets out in the wild.

I can't resis to the tampation of GMK, no matter what the color is TOXIC or miami or TA or hyper fuse or so on .
But some color in toxic set may not be included in GMK colors, if we make toxic happen, perhaps we should change some color according to the GMK's colors.
Any creactive, originative and novel layout as color-way combine with GMK's quality and fabulous touch-feeling make me excited
Looking forward to new GMK, but waiting for my wallet to recover

With some promotion I doubt custom colors will be a problem for Toxic, I think this set has proved MD can get the extra numbers to hit the 500 MOQ. Just need to keep the price at the $99 mark or close to it.

We've tried to talk custom colors in Toxic with GMK already, but at that time the MoQ is 1000, then reduced to 600, but still a huge number back then (the original order was larger than 600 already but it took like 1 year and a half so the number of dropped order might be a problem), plus GMK doesn't do custom legend so after a few discussion, the GMK option were shut down and move on with SP as we known
