wow. Et tu, Brute? this does seem like the final damning piece of evidence against Ivan. I held out against all hope, but this really looks bad.
If this is really true, and Ivan boged out with everyone's money, it seems like the community needs to get together and come up with a solution for this problem. These group buys should not be "cash deals" where one guy is responsible for all that money. It't too liquid, and clearly the temptation to dip into the honey pot (or just abscond with the whole damn thing) is too real for this to go on.
I suggest a kickstarter for a company whose sole purpose is to interface between the cap makers and the GB organizers. this company should also hold the money in escrow, and keep tabs on the process. GB organizers should be vetted, and there should be some milestone agreements for every group buy. It is still hard to believe we have been so loose with these transactions which can reach 6-digit dollar figures.
I truly hope this will spark some conversation on the issue. There is just too much exposure to risk by all parties
