How to ensure switches are straight

I replaced two switches on my ****ty Adesso numpad but after I soldered in the new switches I noticed they were not aligned with the rest of the keys. Does anyone have experience or tips regarding this?

I'm not sure how the spacing works out, but if you have a long keycap with multiple stems and the spacing is right, you could use that to hold the switch in alignment as you solder it. Just a guess.

Remove the solder
Rotate the switches to what looks about right
Solder one joint
Check orientation
If minor correction is needed, heat the solder and rotate switch again
If correction is not needed, finish soldering, test, and button it up.

use a ruler to push the switch

I ran into this problem on mine, I just made sure to keep it in place before adding solder, the top someone mentioned will work too

They should snap in place if they are straight. I would apply pressure from the stem side and use a ruler or something to ensure they are inline with everything else.
