Wish I could afford to throw the $700+ that this thing is likely to go for. Nice to know that they are still sometimes up for grabs (even if super rarely).

This is going to be very very very bad for my wallet.  :-X

He's in Australia, so don't forget to add another $70+ for shipping!

I saw this earlier.  Going to be interesting.  If the price goes super high, I wouldn't be surprised to see a few more pop up for sale somewhere.

Now that I'm restarting production of F62 Kishsavers / F77 keyboards for $350 each I don't think this Kishsaver auction will end up above $600 or so.  It is an original so it's certainly worth a bit more than my reproductions though.

Have to say, really impressed with your work so far. Just wish I had the amount of time to commit to a project like this.

Stupid question maybe, but why "Kishsaver"? I get the saver bit, but why Kish?

Only at $250 surprisingly.

So instead of sniping an ebay auction people are going to snipe his inbox?  :p

It was Kishy that first had informed the world about the existence of the 4704 keyboard line, including the F62.  I think he even had one of his own for a long time.  Much later, a user named Tinny(sp?) that found a bunch of the F62s, and sold them all to DT / GH users at like $85 each.  Since that batch, I don't think anymore have been located.

Tinny is tinlong117's nickname.

The price he was selling them for BEFORE shipping from Hong Kong and before my proxy shipping fees was $84. Shipping from Hong Kong was $36.50. Shipping stateside from me to anyone in CONUS was $17.30. I was the NA proxy for that batch.

I think that's right. I remember the price being in the $140 range shipped US.

After some deliberation, I sent tinlong messages every 2 days or so, for a week or 2, with simple questions such as "are there any left?" and "how much are they?"

About twice, after several tries, he responded with meaningless gibberish messages that did not relate to my questions, so I dropped the whole affair.
"However, even though I was born in the Mesozoic, I do know what anyone who wants to reach out to young people should say: Billionaires took your money. They took your chance to buy a home. They took your chance at a good education. They stole your opportunities. Billionaires took the things you want in life. If you really want those things, you have to take them back.
That's the message. That's the whole message. Say that every day, not just to reach America's frustrated young white men, but people of every age, race, and gender.
Late-stage capitalism is a wealth-concentration engine, focused on vacuuming up every dollar and putting it in as few hands as possible. Republicans are helping that vacuum suck.
How does a tiny fraction of the population get away with this? They do it by dividing the other 99% of Americans against themselves."

I'm actually happy the board went for more than the $400 I was ready to spend on it. I don't need to spend more on this hobby.    :blank:
