I just think it would have been better if this drop started a month earlier or a month later.

This drop couldn't have started at a worse time. Which is right on top of the year end holidays.

We can still make it though right? :)
Im staying strong. I have to. :)

You and me both, this is an amazing set :thumb:

If anyone has ideas about how to hustle it up to MOQ, by all means, share it with the group. But I think it's a tall order.

I wish a vendor would buy the sets needed, but I doubt that'll happen.

I wish this the best success and wish I could afford to join too.

I do have to ask, was no one bothered by the fact that a RGBY color scheme was never present in the US SNES? And no I'm not going to read the IC, I'm just mildly curious.

Best of luck and hoping for a miracle.

Yea honestly this is probably the only way, but not sure if it being on massdrop puts it out of the realm of possibility... :-/

Plus if you're a vendor I really wonder how willing you'd be to take that big a monetary risk on a set that doesn't appear to be garnering the expected amount of interest. I guess the argument would be - it's just bad timing and it would've hit MOQ otherwise, so stocking up now means you'll be able to resell once more people have the cash.

I'm sure some people were. I was confused as to why it had it but not bothered. I think it stems from the fact that different regions got different colors and at the end of the day everyone had to make a sacrifice.

It is a hard time for the set, that costs over $100, to compete with full keyboards that are offered under $80. Is there a vendor that may be interested in the set? But, I wonder if being it sold at mass-drop a vendor may step in.

I think the problem is simply timing more than anything

I know that my wallet is burned pretty bad after christmas and I've got so many pending GMK buys (electric bluegaloo, miami nights, skidata+) it's hard to convince myself that I need another

Since you semi-convinced me to get the relegendables for Skidata+ I can only say that, yes you need this set too jump on board :) :thumb:

No, it's failing because Christmas just happened and several other keysets dropped recently.

i really like this GMK SNES set actually. but i dont join the drop because its not support many board like 75% 1800 etc.
i want to share my opinion.

GMK set is an "enthusiast" caps. so why dont make a keyset that support many layout since its for "enthusiast"
i think many enthusiast out there not use a normal layout board.
so IMO maybe change the addon keys on base kit

with keys that support more layout will boost an order. and make you target market more wider.

and maybe yeah we all on a tight budget on long holiday like this.

Hard to speculate why this didn't drop, but it seems like according to GH there is never a "good" time to start a GB. I have never seen someone say "oh yeah this is a good time", I have  only ever heard "oh, not now, people don't have any money because of x, y or z."

There is not much to say about the drop at this point in time, with only one day left and over three hundred orders to reach MoQ; however, it is a good case to learn from, some "issues" with the set were its timing, of course, some small details that could improve its layout coverage and its unique color combination that some of us like, but many others do not. Finally, the two relatively recent group buys that have reached MoQ they were both run here at GH, Miami Nights and Skidata, of course, those set were more classic that allows more interested parties to join.

I think the Christmas time hurt the most.

The other major item might be lack of 1800 or 75 percent sort.

This is an enthusiast set. It's already expensive so people are usually in or out depending on what it supports versus price.

So, a small increase in price might not factor in that much.

I was actually thinking about trying to do  a small gb just to get the missing keys. Of course, I wouldnt know where to begin with it but maybe next time.

Even judging by the votes for the keyset in the poll on this thread wouldn't even meet half the mock and then accounting for MDs poor timing and other keysets GBs close by. I honestly can't say that it was such a surprise.

from hyperfuse to triumph adler, to miami night , to skidata.
first, i pay my greatest respect to those who have join in them all or one of them. of course ,i have participated in these
second, i express my biggest thank to those who have done great work in these GMK'S group-buy
third, so many GMK's GB badly split the demand for the GMK. we could summon up enough time and money for this SNES and Classis beige at some time in the near future.
thank you

I surely don't think there's any reason in the design why it didn't work. Obviously it isn't going to be as universal in taste as say TA, but it should have tipped. Really was just poor timing.

I know I'm wary of hopping on a MD GMK buy because of packaging and the difference between what was expected color wise and what was delivered.

I'm sure this one is failing because of that, cost, the number of add-on kits that have to hit the large MOQ to make it, and a lack of trust in GMK with custom colors after the last buy.

Maybe I could've done better, in any case I wait for approval before final render. I agree the gradients were a poor choice for the backgrounds. I ask keyset designers what background they want, and it's usually a white background like what I did for this set's renders.

I agree, timing and presentation; MD screwed up the nice renders with crap design that totally missed the vibe...people buy vibe.

Maybe I could've done better, in any case I wait for approval before final render. I agree the gradients were a poor choice for the backgrounds. I ask keyset designers what background they want, and it's usually a white background like what I did for this set's renders.
I thought you said MD did the backgrounds, perhaps you were saying they requested that. Your renders are flawless as always.
