tips I've read are to show the screen and scroll quickly PAST the "out of stock" and do NOT click "add to cart".

Hell, have someone call you while you're showing the deal so you have to take the phone back from view, lol.  Just thought of that.

That's borderline dishonest for some policies on being "in stock" at time of discount but....ymmv on that too, lol.
