MX brown tkl recommendations

Hey everyone, I'm looking looking buy a new board with mx browns.

However, I have special criteria it has to be tkl with arrow keys and cherry stabs. I already have a cm qfr i and a kul so those are not options.

The board can be back-lit or not doesn't matter. So far I'm looking at Leopold on eBay since ducky shine 3 aren't being sold anymore. What do you guys recommend? Thank you.

I'd recommend a Filco but that uses costar stabs. It's a real solid board though.
I really have no idea what other board that uses cherry stabs other than those you've listed.
Maybe assembling one would fit your criteria? It's tons of fun too.

Ahah that's why I considering just buy a Leopold on eBay, I just hope eBay is reliable and thank you.

Fair enough. But don't limit yourself for that reason. Costar stabs are generally thought to be less stiff/better feeling, and that pays dividends more often than the relatively few times you change keycaps.

When changing caps on a board with Costar stabs, I place the inserts in proper alignment into the board, and press the cap onto the stabs + stem just like I would with Cherry stabs. Works at least 3/4 of the time, and it's really easy to tell if you've done it wrong.

When changing caps on a board with Costar stabs, I place the inserts in proper alignment into the board, and press the cap onto the stabs + stem just like I would with Cherry stabs. Works at least 3/4 of the time, and it's really easy to tell if you've done it wrong.

I put the stab inserts into the cap first, then slip one side on, push it over to the side, and use pliers or something to bend the other bar out of the way enough to get the cap down into place.

Filco makes a solid board. Can't go wrong with a Filco.

Unless they changed the design, I thought KUL had Cherry stabs?

But if you're looking for something else, there are lots to choose from. KBParadise V80, Leopold FC750R, WASD v2 and the backlit CODE keyboard, Varmilo VA87MR, Ducky Shine, and Filco, among others.

Can always look @ QF Rapid-I, to my knowledge all the LED issues have been worked out.

You already have a KUL... if you need another TKL why not just get another one?

Or better yet, if you want a new experience and can afford it, go straight for a GON NerD TKL. I'd suggest going with modded Clear switches, 62g springs + lube. Or ask him if he can put Zealios in it for you. A billion times better than current Browns. Vintage or well worn in Browns can be okay, but the current crop of stock Browns have very rough sliders, not to mention the wobbly switch tops.

If you do decide you don't need the cherry stabs I would also recommenced the Filco MJ2, it's a well built board.
