Probably a 60% Beam Spring keyboard with the IBM display writer keycaps. Or maybe an SSK but with capacitive buckling springs. Kishsavers don't look as sexy as SSK's do.

EDIT: It will be wireless too just because :p

You must not be familiar with Hoffman's kish...it's soooooo sexy. The case has aged well, looks better than my SSK. Though Displaywrite caps could be interesting, I like the bold Helvetica opposed to the thin font on most sets.

I'd love a Matias Ergo Pro with a full size F row and standard size bottom row, but this would also require a reality where Alps are much more popular so keysets and artisans would fit it.

Oh, that looks quite nice! I still prefer an SSK or even a Model F 122. I really don't know why Kishsavers are not appealing in aesthetics to me, but I do love the name  :thumb:

My Pok3r w/ Clears would come to life and be a Digimon-like little companion.

Edit: I misinterpreted the question.  But I would love for Novatouch 60% to be a thing.

This is a fun topic, OP. I also understand KB fanatics who lead decent, caring lives get their dream boards when they go to Heaven, so it doesn't seem like a bad idea to start thinking about them now.

A keyboard coming to life: probably a battleship IBM Model F as The Sword That Speaks (TV Tropes warning) for zombie apocalypse.

LOL. If there's anyone here who's never seen an F-122 in person, they might not get that... I'm sure none of us will forget the first one we beheld one—it's a religious experience.

Wow!  Is is just me or do that many keys make you happy?

Yeah, I imagine many of us feel our pulses increase when we see something like that.

I wonder what the world record is for the number of keys on a keyboard?

115936-0

40% programmable bluetooth HHKB. Since I want something just a bit smaller than a standard HHKB for when I'm traveling.

Wait till you see the 20% keyboard I'm making—it's twice as cool!

I have a dream keyboard, but it is not easy to build with regular switches and keycaps... Split with a symmetric stagger, but where the keys are somewhat in a curve around each hand - that's the easy part. The hard part is that I would also like there to be a slight non-uniform curve on the backplane and the keycaps' angle towards the middle a bit like keyboard.io or the Logitech Wave.

Man, that sounds like it should include a private bar and an automated massage chair.

You must not be familiar with Hoffman's kish...it's soooooo sexy...

Not only can you type on it, you can take it along when you run away to join the circus!

I'd say a silenced 60 % Novatouch. I'd also like to have 60 % with blue alps but i guess i could build that someday.

Historical keyboard: the original Maltron (i.e., with more thumb keys) converted to be usable with modern computers

Dream keyboard: ditto, but with full hand separation and open-hardware design
…and here we go! Someone got a case from Maltron for their custom build.

Is that some sort of hip keyboard bar?  Like where everyone can play?  That would be interesting as a computer equivalent.  But oh, the pick up lines...(I can't think of any)...
