People seem to vote more on sets that they've seen a lot of before - there are Dolch sets all over Reddit, but hardly any Red Alert.

The circle jerking can be quite strong in the community when it comes to these sorts of things.

Perhaps Dolch is popular because a lot of people actually like the way it looks. I'd personally sooner run stock keycaps than something like Red Alert.

That doesn't mean massdrop wouldn't try and run it anyway, they only care about the community to get ideas so they can make a buck.

Notice how some people only come around when it is time for them to promote a drop?

I sleep safe in the fact that if I ever have to sell off all my loot, at least I can find a Dolch kit a little easier when it comes time to buy it all back with the massive stacks of cash I've must have just found under a bridge

I don't even understand this poll, they literally just had two different GMK Dolch and Granite GB's, and barely met the MoQ on both.

I want to know how you can circumvent the polls (like Data, Matt3o, etc.) have done in the past.

RA needs a re-release, as does Skull Squadron. Matt's new Topre set is very close to SS but I would much rather have cherry caps.

Since GMK Dolch is currently active on Massdrop I doubt they will choose it again, if they look at the poll they would likely pass on Dolch and hopefully fun Olivetti.

That's most polls on massdrop. Keysets that wont ever be rerun, razer/corsair production keyboards, and votes for options that don't relate to the topic posted are at the top of a lot of polls.

For bypassing the MD polls you need to contact them directly. I believe that was done with Troubled Minds, linking to an IC post here on GH. The IC thread was deemed sufficient to skip the voting and it went straight to GB run if I'm not mistaken. Though thesiscamper would have more information on this.

If you want something run, create mockups for it and get an IC thread up, then contact MD. It seems more effective than the randomness of their voting system where polls are left up for months on end.

If RGBK is anything to go by, MD are actually pretty to go with for GMK buys as they're logistics team are very very quick at getting stuff out
