Was going to initially, but decided to wait and see if the "special" edition ends up coming with a GB in 2016. If not no worries. I think everyone who gets one will be really pleased.

Think I'm going to dive into Topre for the time being, after it being in the back of my mind for the good part of 4 years.

Buy it for your Mrs, I had to buy one for mine with Clears just so she can see what a custom keyboard is all about.

Always please your loved ones with these type of keyboards.  Have no use for 60% keyboards on my desk so you need to bring a little joy to other people in your life.

GF likes the looks of 60% boards but always struggled with the lack of arrow keys.
Hopefully she likes 67g Zealios

The functionality of the layout is great

But I still prefer the aesthetics of 60% and TKL

Matt's innovation rocks and thousands fellows are getting one set proving so, kudos for him, it is just us, a few picky dinosaurs pack, that are not getting one: I like the design, in general, and the pricing is outstanding but, first, I do not use dedicated arrows anymore; second, the 7u space bar version has two drawbacks: The space bar is extremely out of center and the right shift is 1.75u so many ANSI OG Cherry sets won't fit it. Finally, Costar stabilizers suck and sixty is still the size to go in custom designed boards that have already great support for cases and accessories.

Wanted to but I don't want to deal with MassDrop ever.
And the drop offered only one (****ty imo) ISO plate without stepped caps lock option.

Besides that there were also things like stolen aluminum HHKB case idea, disappearing Granite, keypads being very different from what was advertised, censorship of Otaku Kiiboodo set, and loads more. And then there's the big one - more stuff sold on MD means less group buys happening in the actual community, which is where most of the interesting things come from. If MD had monopoly on keyboard stuff group buys, you wouldn't have Zealios or the Alps Party, because they're too risky for a buisness.

And besides all of that, most of non-exclusive MD's stuff isn't even cheaper if you're in EU, and really everyone who does MD-exclusive stuff effectively says "**** you Europe". I'm really glad that people are starting to notice this, for example the main distributor in the west of Pok3r is Corus instead of Poker II's MD distribution.

I don't see how alps party or Zealios couldn't have happened on MD. No, they wouldn;t have done it themselves, but if you contacted them with all the details and planning ahead of time (like pretty much every single keycap drop) they would still be able to run/collect/ship it. That's literally what their business model is.

Also I'd argue MD can help create more group buys, by allowing people who wouldn't normally run a keycap set to go forward and not have to do their own shipping/pricing/etc. I think it can go either way.
