Dreamhack is coming around to Montreal this year and a few members are going.

EDOT: changed the dates. Last year was early april. Exams are mid to late april so that's not a possibility. Either early april or early may should be good.

I can't help but wonder if we would get some Toronto people if it were in Ottawa? But I think I'm the only one in Ottawa.

But seriously for a student, taking the train out for the weekend in the middle of projects time isn't a great option for me.

I can try for mid-March, but with a three week vacation planned for May I might not have very many vacation days left to make it work.

I lived in Ottawa for two years or so a couple years ago. One of my favorite places I've lived.

Hi everyone. I have been pretty much away from GeekHack for a few months. I don't know if I will be able to attend this meeting, but I would be interested. I will keep an eye on it as much as I can and would appreciate if I could get a pm (to get a mail) once the date will be set.

If I can come I could bring the same model F as last year and a "new" project AKA an Hall effect keyboard in a bad shape I won't have had the time to work on

I am still available to host like I did last time at the same place. I will review what the event schedule looks like for mid March and post some options for when the space is free.

If this is going to happen this year GL1TCH3D needs to update the OP and then we need get a poll for potential weekends and then check if swill can still host. There is a small chance I can host at Ubisoft Montreal but there's a lot of security stuff I'd have to sort out first.

But it seems like the meetup won't really happen. I'd be fine bringing my keyboards for a short meetup though. Only really have the gon mobik 55g clears, Octagon v2 with lubed clears (stock), my golbat hhkb with gateron browns and my hhkb type-s

We will not have to rent it, I can get the space for free. I am guessing we will want to do a weekend day. There is a calendar at the bottom of the website and we try to keep it up to date with the bookings of the space.

Dreamhack next year is Sept 9th/10th, depending on how many of us are high schoolers/uni students/have young ones that might be an issue conflicting with the start of the school year. I could make that date, but don't know about the rest of you!

Alternatively, we could throw up a poll of the last two weeks of March/April/first two weeks of May to figure out a date then?

Yeah that sounds reasonable. Well we could do the Friday before dreamhack (unless dreamhack shenanigans start on friday?). Alternatively, spring time like a bunch of the posts above had asked for.
