So I am building a custom split layout keyboard, and was originaly going to use MX blacks on hand, but after some time with browns, I found I liked them better.
I feel I want it to be heavier than browns though, but not as heavy as the grey in the spacebar.
They will be plate mounted, and hand wired.
What switches should I get?
And when is the group buy over, because im not sure ill have the money by march first, I need like a week.
The pricing will revert to retail price once I receive my shipment from Gateron around mid-march.
65g/67g Zealio would probably suit your liking.
Ok, thanks.
I think ill go for the ones with milky bottoms to avoid meltage.
What is retail price?
And so they wont go up right after march 1st?
$1/switch. Price will go up sometime mid-march.
OK, great thanks, ill probably be ordering switches soon.
Then i can finaly make my dream keyboard.
I had basically my dream keyboard before, Apple Adjustable Keyboard.
Nice tactile switches, good amount of force (heavier than browns, not too heavy), split layout, large wrist wrest.
Unfortunatly the Alps SKFS switches used in it are prone to failure, and now some switches dont work all the time. I have had to retire it and go on a regular layout.
But now, my dream keyboard will be relized again!
