Nonfunctional escape key

Hey guys, so I am in need of advice. I was soldering some switches into my tx87 pcb today and made some mistakes.
 Long story short, I basically burned off the heating pad for the diode on the escape key. My question now is if there is a way for me to maybe "jump" the diode from another key to my escape key?
I've included s picture of my terrible job, but that was before I effed it up even more... The pads are completely gone now 
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Is it the top pad? That one connects to the switch pin above it

I'm sorry... I'm not sure what do you mean by it connecting to the switch pin alive it... Both of the pads, top and bottom got burned unfortunately... It fell off after my repeated attempts to fix it...

well the pcb is just there to make everything looks nicer, usually it goes like this: controller-> matrix -> diode  -> switch -> matrix -> controller  so you should be able to attach a diode to the switch pin(look at the traces which pin goes to the diode pads) then connect it to the matrix in an appropriate place. There is a bunch of good pcb repair videos on youtube.


Edit: i think you should be able to attach a through hole diode to the rightmost pin and the bottom pad. Im not sure which way is the anode or cathode is cause youve burn the whole thing but you have a 50/50 chance. if it doesnt work just change the directon of the diode.

Ahhhh okay, so if I burned the bottom pad also, I just have to trace it to where it links up next and attach my diode there?
My bottom pad fell off also

That or you can GENTLY rub off the cover of the trace with a knife or something and attach it there.

Use a wire and sandpaper and bridge it.

So this is what I ended up with... It's still not working unfortunately...
Any tips on what I did wrong?

double check to see if you didnt kill the switch. it may very well be as simple as swapping the switch. fingers crossed.

So I finally got the Esc key to work thanks to your advices 
But my problem now is that when I plugged in the keyboard again, the SMDs on the back started flashing... I tried to flash the firmware to the latest version and it worked the first time but when I rebooted my computer it started flashing again. So just like last time, I tried to flash the firmware again but this time it won't register any keys when I was prompt to "press any key to continue firmware update"...
I think somewhere along the line I messed up the controller during the firmware update...
Anyone have an idea of where can I purchase another TX87 PCB? or maybe a method of resetting the whole keyboard somehow?

Download SharpKeys and rebind Pause/Break to Esc. That key is never used anyway.

Hey guys, just wanted to give an update and a big thank you to all of you 
I really appreciate it, my keyboard is fully functional now 
Special shoutout to Radish, you the man! Apparently my escape key was faulty and it caused shorting issues with the ` key right below it, which is actually what made my keyboard not work when I plugged it in.
According to Leeku holding the ` key put the keyboard into update mode when you plug it in.
Learned a lot about keyboard this week
