I am currently working on a show in one of Chicago's most popular theaters! I am a spotlight operator for the current show, and have spent most of my recent life in the theater. I had a friend who goes by the name of Heavy join me for a show call!
High above the house is the catwalk storage rooms where I have been living for the past month. Rummaging through the stores, Heavy thought a 10° Source Four barrel would make him look fat.
Now he wants to be on the other end to feel skinny again.
Sitting with all the spare lamps, tri-taps, and turnarounds was a new friend with no hands. No one knows what happened to his hands, but I hope they served him well.
Ah yes, all the comforts of concrete.
Out on the catwalk now, Heavy takes a look at my spot. The show did not have room for a fullsize spot, so I am using a 750W Source Four with a 14° barrel, a chain weight, and a couple handles so I don't burn my poor flesh.
Were sitting a little over 3 stories up, with about 3 feet of grated steel holding us up.
Being without a real spotlight means I have to make my own sights to be able to pick someone up in the dark!
Hanging out and checking his complection against my gels.
SHHHH. The house is open and we are without work lights now. The seats are filling in anticipation for show time.
Feels a bit like Phantom of the Opera up here.
Showtime...
