not enough blue, but milk looks good.

I'd prefer it to be lactose free though, pretty please.

I feel like that blanks and mods really are what people want atm, as well as a really great stepping stone into cap crafting. If I ever buy new supplies (my local arts supplier only has **** stuff, learned that the hard and expensive way) I'd do the same since you can really work on your production process as well as express your creativity without having to come up with sculpts and checking if these might have similarities with one cap that was released waay before you even were interested in that kind of stuff.

I really think that these kinds of artisans (mod sets and quasi blanks) will gain a lot of popularity since they don't take away any functionality like crazy sculpts do.

Ok, let's do a giveaway of this lil guy in the thread here.

Between now and the start of the raffle, comment with your worst idea for an artisan keycap along with a rudimentary drawing of said design. As an added requirement, it needs to be possible to create so no off the rails flights of fancy. Entries will be judged shortly after the opening of the raffle.

Honestly, I think the worst idea for a key cap may have already been done by none other than K3KC:

I mean, the swastika and color scheme, there is just no reason for it other than to offend. At worst, other caps are mostly just ugly, but this cap is offensive... and we know it can be cast because it already has been! Am I disqualified if I don't draw it as well - I have mspaint!

classic/toothy fugu without the spikes (so just a sphere with a face)

i didnt have color in my pic but a colorway with a neon green body with bright yellow and/or neon pink eyes would be ridiculous

I present to you the Artisan Artisan Display Cap. It is possible of showcasing up to 9 of your favorite caps all on a single switch of your board! The only downside? If you use this key, all surrounding 8 keys are rendered useless! You can potentially cover all of your alphas with just 4 of these Artisans! Perfect for the Artisan collector who doesn't need functionality!

I actually thought of this a little while ago and wanted to make it; a cap with a thumb tack embedded in it. crappy drawing but you get the idea
Edit: *slightly* better drawing and oriented correctly
Edit2: apparently someone has already created a cap similar to my original idea (mines way better but still...) so I'm changing mine to dookie key or Dookey . It takes up 2 or 3 spaces around it so you can only press dookie key. works best if placed in the middle of your board.

Similar to the tack idea posted above (swear I did not see it before I made mine), but it has an array of needles embedded into it like the magicians trick:

Looks like we had pretty similar ideas... I just want the record to show that I did not see your entry and then come up with my idea. I know I personally get frustrated if it looks like someone piggy backed off my ideas in competition things likes this, so I just wanted to clarify that that is not what happened. I came up with the idea a few weeks ago along with another cap that was going to look sorta like a bear trap and I was going to call them trap caps. So, yea... the similarities are purely coincidental and even more so because they're right next to each other.

edit:

After seeing this post, I realize that the idea of making caps that hurt, or are sharp or whatever, is a pretty common theme when thinking of "the worst cap ever," and not terribly unique which makes me feel better for not having posted mine first.

so carry on, i guess..

Besides the rough and sharp surface, the material of keycap should not be affected by environment/ weathers such as it's can be oily or smelted in hot weather or too rough in cold weather.

SpiderKey.

Takes you a long time to sculpt all the detail, especially the eyes, and  hairs on the legs.
Time consuming process to cast due to the 8 eyes (different color multi-shot eyes, woah...) and hairs.
No one enters the raffle.

nice drawing. Actually imo, it's good idea on Halloween  :p but usually it's scary haha

Ah about the scary design, how about the keycap surface with many tiny holes inside. much trypophobia :p
