Help with stabiliser :(((((
« on: Thu, 25 February 2016, 02:01:13 »
So I finally finished my keyboard after soldering in 61 LEDs and de-soldering them again...
and now...
one of my stabilisers is being a ***** :/
One side won't go down completely (as you can see here) and I've been wiggling it around for the past 20 minutes trying to fix it.
This keyboard has been an emotional roller coaster and I really want it finished :(

If anyone has any ideas that would be faaaantastic!

Thank you

EDIT: I fixed it. Had to desolder the switch below to get the stabiliser wire in the right place. I have no idea how it came out in the first place.
I am now a master desolderer of LEDs and switches. All I have to do now is put it in the case and put the keycaps on. Hopefully nothing will go wrong there. :/

Looks like the wire isn't in the slider correctly so you'll need to take the stab out and reassemble that side, hopefully the plate lets you do that without desoldering :)

Yeah, had to desolder the switch below.
Thank so much for giving me an excuse for something to type to by the way ;)
