This is pretty cool. Some of the best Alps caps with SKCM Browns. I guess i'm getting a similar experience with my SKCM Orange SGI Granite ;)
Wang 725-3770 SKCM Brown, 1995
Zenith 163-73 - SKCM Blue, 1990
KBP V60 MTS - SKCM Amber w/ Canon HiPros
IBM P77, SKCC Green, 1984
IBM P70 - Alps Plate Spring, 1989
Compaq MX 11800, MX Black, 1997

It's me.

Someone contacted me on eBay and asked if I would be willing to sell the keyboard at a lower price then $150 if I didn't include the case.
I just want to let people know I'm not trying to make a quick buck by flipping this board. It turned out Brown Alps weren't my cup of tea, but
building this board (as I'm sure many others that participated in the GB BlueNalgene was kind enough to spearhead know) took a while and
was only possible with the acquisition of several different parts from different areas. If I was to breakdown the parts invovled, it would be
this:

1) Brown Alps Switches Harvested from Vintage Brown Alps keyboard ~$70
2) SGI AT-101 for PBT keyset - $80
3) PCB & Plate - ~$70
4) Dell AT-101 for spacebar - $30
5) Plastic case $20

Some of these things I was able to recoup funds on by selling the remaining parts in pieces, so these prices aren't a direct reflection of
how much the keyboard cost. Either way, the point was just to demonstrate I'm trying to be very fair here.

What was wrong with the SGI spacebar?

Edit: anyway, seems like an awesome board. I hope some folks put in high snipe bids, and you end up fetching a good price for it. :-)

Would be sad if you had to disassemble and sell the parts out separately to break even.

The SGI spacebar has it's stabilizer mounts farther in to the center then the Dell AT-101 spacebar. Since the plate was made for Dell AT-101 compatibility, it has the clips very far out.
This essentially means that you either HAVE to make your own stabilizer (which I tried using the ez bender) or buy an actual Dell AT101 for the spacebar. When I made my own stabilizer it was unstable
due to the fact that it has to go so far out for the plate clips and come so far back for the spacebar mount clips. Once I acquired the Dell AT-101 spacebar, it was smooth sailing.

It sure did! But that's okay my base price was the lowest I was willing to sell it for. It went to a good GH member too so that makes me happy.
