Hello, I just bought my very first mech (a CM Storm Rapid w/ MX browns) as it was suggested to me by many due to its ability to be modded with a frosty flake and fully standard keycap set. I will be getting it in soon and am very happy to be upgrading from my $20 TKL membrane. I also bought o-rings with it as it was only an added cost for $7.50. Hoping to get into this new hobby.

Welcome to Geekhack!

Have you used a modern mechanical keyboard?  It will be interesting to see what you think of it once it arrives.

For most people it is something of an epiphany to use a mechanical keyboard after years of suffering a rubber dome keyboard, not knowing there is something better out there.

The most I have used a mechanical keyboard is testing one in a store. I used a laptop with membrane for over 2 years, and then built my desktop ~2 months ago and am just getting a mech now after buying a cheap membrane when I built the computer.
