Does the stainless steel plate support switch opening?
Do i understand correctly that [...] i could open them up and replace innards?
Yes, to both questions.

How can you tell from the plate, some extra cutouts or something else?
By the shape of the cutout.
Shape 1 doesn't allow switch-top removal, the three others do. LeandreN's plates are cut with shape 2.

Thank you, time to heat that iron

I'd like to hope you mean you're about to solder switches in. Not desolder the switches and remove the tops then resolder. :))

Lol, soldering of course :)
I still haven't decided whether to split some shift or backspace... More buttons vs cap compatibility.

There will be some PCBs up on Mekanisk.co in 40 minutes. Very limited, these are going to go very fast.

Hehe those pcbs are wanted..

Are we going to see a restock of leftover plates any time soon? I really want a decent steel plate for my spacy Godspeed build :)

That sucks.
They are usually really fast, it should be there by now.

Give it a couple more days or I will send a new one, but I can't promise I have all your exact parts in stock

I got mine. (It arrived about two days before Hydro). I think from the time LeandreN put it in the mail to the time it arrived was about a week. I had tracked shipping.

Never mind, I figured it out.

GON pcb doesnt like zeal stabs, the screw shorts out the pins/pads so you need to put tape over it to make it work like normal, ill post my pictures/buildlog once I get my gmk white-blue from the post office on Sunday but overall I'm loving the new keyboard because it feels and sounds so quiet because all my $$$ is gone now from making this.

DAM YOU GATERON CLEAR ZEALIOS WITH $100 PADUAK CASE WITH $100 ENJOYPBT JAPANESE SET WITH $40 ZEAL STABS AND $300 DOLLA GMK WHITE-BLUE KEYCAPS STOP EATING MONEY PLS

Unfortunately the Nerd60 has only one lock indicator and it's in a funny position (between Caps and A, if I recall). You would need to do some wiring modification.

Yes, the pair in the middle. You can assign them to Caps Lock in the NerDy GUI, LED tab.

Waiting for stabs so nothing is soldered yet.
Wait arent you supposed to put stabs in first?

I almost messed up by soldering switches first but I caught my mistake around 4 switches in

Also how do you know if your NKey is turned on

160340-1

First ever build. More or less a success with a few hiccups on the way.
Dropped case with plate while fiddling: scratched case, bent plate at the sensitive enter\iso location.
Soldered \| switch not lined up, so keycap was crooked and interfered with enter keycap.
Clipped the stabilizers like a good boy, but some how backspace is still very mushy and sticky. Tried to lube the wire through the plate holes.... Should have checked\lubed them before soldering everything...
But anyway, it's done ant it works

Cheap clear case, gateron browns + whites for modifiers (courtesy for pinkies).

I don't think i would ever go back to full size or tkl board, even after so little time with this one. Fears about not having arrows and stuff were proved false. Though i can clearly see now, that i would prefer a layout that uses thumbs more and pinkies less, but that's for another day.

About leds. Never cared much for them, but now i am thinking since the pcb supports them, why not. I want leds to ligtup on layers. Problem is side leds are single color, so how to show two layers? Crazy idea about using switch leds for that. If i would solder them on the bottom. Effectively having two color underlight. Ideally i would want to use only some of them (for example only on the sides). Is this possible or leds wont work if i don't solder all of them?

P.S. Again, thanks LeandreN for this group buy.

I've seen heavier springs for spacebars and lighter for mods but heavier springs for mods is a first. May I ask you how come you chose this solution?

I honestly can't remember if I already posted this, so excuse me if I did.

I made a board for someone with one of your Universal60 plates, and I have to say it was one of the best build processes I've gone through in a couple of years. I've mainly built boards with steel or acrylic plates for a long while, and it was a really nice change to use one of your plates.
Just wanted to say that. Even if it sounds stupid. Hope to build more boards with your stuff!
