Anyone heard of "KRGD" MX clones?
« on: Sat, 03 September 2016, 17:07:30 »
Hello,

Has anyone heard of the KRGD switch (An MX Series clone)?
There doesn't seem to be much information on the web that I can find...

Are you sure that it does not say "KBRD", which would look almost similar?
Anyway, I have not..

Kailh often rebrands their switches for their clients, but if it was them then it would have their characteristic snaps for connecting top and bottom housing.

I'm pretty sure it says "KRGD" on the switch but it's kind of hard to be 100% sure since the switches are clear and so is the marking. I'll upload a photo, maybe you can identify the switch by the build.
Notice the bottom (note the switch is mounted upside-down) right corner of the stem (it has a small square part that is sunken in a bit.

Ah, I think now that it says "K RGB".

That looks like a Lingbao keyboard. Other Lingbao keyboards I have seen (on the 'Net) have had Gaterons but those don't have that slider.

Yeah, it is indeed a Lingbao. I actually sent the seller on Aliexpress a message, and his reply was that the switch is made by: Lingdu Electronics Co., Ltd (Shenzhen) - still doesn't tell me much.
I ordered this keyboard which was supposed to come with Gateron switches, unfortunately(?) it did not. Since I have never used Gateron switches I have nothing to compare it (KRGD/B) to, other than CHERRY.
